January 29, 201412 yr I got my LaCrosse on April 30th. All summer long, it's been bombarded with a broken underground sprinkler that for some reason, my landlord couldn't seem to get fixed properly each time. I'm not one of those people that runs out to dry his car with a towel every second it gets wet... I won't go crazy for a little dirt, but I do like it to look nice and shine every now and then. That said, I didn't realize the water was hard water. The car has been through a total of 4 car washes, many downpours, a multitude of winter storms, and I STILL have hard water stains on the windows, mirrors, chrome and body. My car hasn't shined since the day I got it. How can I get rid of these deposits without damaging the paint or chrome?
