Ever here of BYD?

Do not feel bad if you do not know this 38 Billion conglomeration business that is based out of China and builds everything from Solar panels to electric auto's. Warren Buffet owns 10% and has stated he feels they will be a major player in the the world wide push to Electric Autos.

So why would people easily forget all the rage that Tesla is you might ask? Try an Electric Bus that will travel 155 miles on a single charge. That is right, BYD bought a defunct RV manufacturing plant in California and is ready to roll off the first pure electric bus that will be delivered to the local mass transit. They are also building locally the battery packs and putting people to work locally in california.

Nice editorializing in the title.

FYI: "California state regulators last year docked the company $99,245 for violating state labor laws by under-paying Chinese engineers it brought over to work at the Lancaster factory. The labor commission later dropped that charge and reduced the fine to $37,803 for minor infractions of state labor laws."

Clearly BYD has the interests of the 99% in mind.

Based on quality of china products, I figure it would kill you within the first 12 months from toxic fumes from the toxin's they mix in with their plastic to get rid of it. Breath and die the Chinese way.

I would rather die supporting an american company than send my hard earned dollars overseas.

LOL!

Also: China is leading in EV technology because their government boasts the limitless funds, legal bodies and various state-controlled companies necessary to 'corner and own' the market. The US could do it too but instead your population seem happier to let companies like A123 get bought out by the Chinese or oppose any kind of government funding/subsidies to EV manufacturers because HURR DURR SOSHULIZM.

I wonder why the government of Canada didn't buy A123. This is very disconcerting.
