So cruzing through the media.gm.com web site, I saw this update on the Chevy AppShop story which shows that GM has now signed Apple and Google to make the connection so that GM auto's will have a touch screen and you can choose to have the Apple Interface with Apple App Store or an Andriod Interface with Google Play store for your in Auto Touch screen Navigation with constant updates and apps.

I am very excited still and while sad that it has been delayed from this fall to next year, I think this will be a superior way for GM to go as the existing DVD nav system get outdated to fast.

There was also this follow up story released this week on Editorial MSN about this with a picture of the concept dash shown at the CES (consumer electronic show).

Like I said earlier in this forum, the navigation system had to be upgraded eventually. With better navigation on the apple and android platform, of course the integrated system was inevitable. Now, most imports from Japan will follow the trend of setting up these navigation and at least we'll be able to use the nav system that came with the car.
