November 21, 201411 yr Not at that interest rate it's not. You can do much better if you finance elsewhere.
November 21, 201411 yr Alaska USA is offering 3.75% on 72 months for auto loans. Awesome down payment, but Finance some place else as 5.9% is terrible.
November 21, 201411 yr Digital Credit Union will give you 1.49% for up to 60 months if you direct deposit your payment to their checking account and pay from there. 1.9% if you don't do that.
November 22, 201411 yr Author HA, I didn't realize this even posted, I got that old "YOU cannot post this extension in this community" some such or other stuff, I don't even know. From what I understand, credit unions have some advantages over banks. Perhaps it is time to look into one. Not sure which would be more advantageous, paying off the car and ordering the truck, or just giving a huge down payment when the truck comes, as stated in the link posted.
November 22, 201411 yr I work for a bank, 2.74% to 2.99% on new cars loans of 5 years is a good rate. I have seen dealers offering less than 2% in some cases. Assuming you have a decent credit score you should be able to find under 3% for a car loan.
November 23, 201411 yr Author Thanks for the info! I finally got to drive a new Colorado today, a brown crewcab shortbed Z71 4X4. It is so far and away better than any GM compact truck before it, at least as a new truck. I absolutely loved it. So now I am sending out "my" truck to a few local dealers for bidding. First dealer I reached out to already sent me a bid of $31,682, v. an MSRP of $32,311 (wheel liners are a dealer-installed item, requiring a labor charge.) I think I can do better.
