68panther i always wanted to ask you what if the 3 of the 5 were, RWD, RWD, and RWD....would you want it then? It could be a slow 3 cylinder like in the old Geo's with a slushbox and RWD would you still consider it a winner? LOL

Good question. I'm known for being a HUGE fan of RWD and I hate most FWD cars. I also dislike Automatics but I can forgive that more easily than FWD.

Look at it this way. A 1982 Camaro Iron Duke (4-cylinder) is as slow as piss but at least it's RWD. It may be as slow as a 3-cylinder Metro in 100% stock form but at least you start off wiht potential.

I can take an old tired Camaro like this and drop in a nice healthy 350 and be running 13s at the track all days long, or perhaps an LS1?, LS6?, or how about the 502 big blockl crate? Screw it might as well shove in the 9.4 liter 572.

See what I mean? all it takes to make an old school rwd car great is a better engine and trans. But on the other hand a FWD 1992 Civic will always be lame even after you spend $20,000 on ground effects, rims, turbos, NOS & paint.

To conert a fast car wiht a transverse mounted engine ad FWD to RWD is posible but a huge waste of money in most cases.

RWD = performance & proper handeling. Except for a few exceptions I consider FWD to be lame, impractical, annoying and a waste of torque. Most true car enthusiasts agree.

Hope that answers things for you. :)
