Under Appreciated Speedy Cars

Featured Replies

Some rides didn't get the credit they deserve when new, or were once well known and have become forgotten in the interim. Like the Blown 312 Y block '57 Fairlanes, that had the kind of power FE V8 Mustangs only had a decade later. What other cars would you add?

While not a car, I feel these were under appreciated for what they were.

Syclone and Typhoon from GMC

I don't know if I agree, dfelt. The Syclone was limited to just under 3,000 units in 1991, with a price tag around ~$25K (I can't recall the 2-year production numbers for the Typhoon nor the MSRP). For a truck, it had a lot of media presence and it was featured all over the place. Even today, 24 years after introduction, a well cared for Syclone sells for at least $15k in the Northeast. There are fan sites, clubs, and they still show up at high media auction coverage. Now the '92-only Sonoma GT was an under appreciated truck, it had the high output 4.3L V6 engine in it :smilewide:
