New Look Coming

Featured Replies

So the current site skin we are using was only a temporary fix.  The prior skin did not render properly on certain brower/OS combinations so I had to change it quickly.

I have a new skin installed and have been testing it for about two weeks.  I am getting ready to switch the site over to the new skin very soon. This new theme is very mobile friendly and will allow you to use C&G from your phone or tablet much easier than you can today.

I invite you to try the new skin by scrolling to the bottom of any page, click Change Theme, and pick the theme named Nerva.

To switch back, pick the theme named Haze.

As always please report any issues in this thread.

I like the new look much better, it reminds me of the layout we had previously.  I don't really browse on my phone but it seems to be running fine on my pc using Chrome.

Feel free to leave the skin set to Nerva ... once I'm satisfied that it is ready to go, I will force all users onto the new look.

Ooooo ... really like the new look, Drew!

New look is much nicer than the one it replaces, though I still see that floating-header thing (Safari 8.0.5, OS X 10.10.3) that has a tendency to cover up posts and it doesn't disappear like it used to with the previous skin.

New look took less study to get used to than Haze, which made me feel like I was in one for a few days.

I'll give it a try..I'm on my phone or tabby most of the time these days..

Maybe it's just me ... but this 2nd time on it ... all of the profile pics are blue-box question marks.... :(

Yeah, avatars aren't right and I see ghost text in a few spots.

the pictures should slowly come back over the next hour or so.     As I mentioned, it was not theme related, but related to a test install of the the next version of C&G which is on all new software.

That is good to know as of now I see funky white box's where avatar images used to be for each of us. :P

New look is awesome.  Much easier to read and navigate.  I like it.

I can see avatars!!!!  Woot.  Tho, I may have to re-upload mine ... it doesn't look quite right.  Hmmm.

OTHERWISE ... LOVE this new look, Drew!  And, hey, the "view new content" button was EASY to find. ;)

Nice theme! Works well in Chrome on PC/Android and on Safari, and I haven't had any issues come up since using it for nearly a week.
