Spied: 2008 Mercedes C-Class [updated 11/8]

Unique interior design. It doesn't look particularly Mercedes-like, especially the pop-up NAV screen.

Unique? Have you checked out Dodge lately? :P

It doesn't look bad though, so far..

I think it looks great so far! The styling changes versus the old C are quite evident. Seems they're going for the miniature S-Class look.

Interior aside, it really doesn't look like much of a departure from the current model.

Wow variance your on news like flies are on $h!..

Uh...when have they not done this?

I know you cannot tell much but while the roof line looks hot, the rest looks bland.

Rather than Audi, it's Mercedes-Benz I'm bored with.

Is it good that the new C reminds me of the new Sebring?

No.

Well, the new C-Class is out and has been in comparisons. I find it very attractive (inside and out) surprisingly, but the biggest oversight (IMO) was the lack of memory seats for 2008. It appears they become available for 2009 (thankfully) along with some other key options...

For those who need some pics to refresh their memory:

I don't know why (maybe it's the headlamp design wth the parking lamps on top of the headlights) but that front end always reminds me of the Holden Statesman/Caprice... Nonsense...

I dunno- the 'blogs' pics just look dated to me; mersedes generally does much better at regurgitating the same design cues over & over (isn't that sport grille spot-on for one from circa 1990?) than bmw, but the interior looks dated and drab: airbag-obvious buldge in an all-plastic steering wheel, ergonomically-questionable HVA/C location -couldn't be any lower, riveting cutline around the NAV door... this is a "cheap" mercedes, right? High 20Ks?

I really like the C-Class. I like the CTS more, but the C300/350 are very, very nice vehicles from a quality perspective.. and I like the design of the Sport models a lot, too.
