July 3, 20169 yr I don't see anyone using a lower case 'L' for the first letter of a surname. No where on the whole document was that done, either. Closest is matches up with is a 'C'...
July 3, 20169 yr Looks like it could be an upper case 'I' also. As an aside, cursive handwriting is an almost lost art today.. Edited July 3, 20169 yr by Cubical-aka-Moltar
July 3, 20169 yr In looking at other pages written by the same individual (signed), I am 85% sure it begins "Ch"...
July 3, 20169 yr Now 95% positive it's 'Ch'… but any further possible combos (Chievan, Chrenan, Chrevan, etc) comes up as unobtanium via findagrave, world connect, familysearch, google. Damned sloppy government recorders……. maybe be a erroneous phonetic spelling.
July 3, 20169 yr OK....I quite certain that the last 3 letters are: rau Why? well...you did say Austrian....and the first thing that came to my mind is the German beer Edited July 3, 20169 yr by oldshurst442
July 3, 20169 yr Played around with possibilities, and finally hit on a real name, as the others would show 1 or maybe 2 examples, which could be readily attributable to typos. findagrave shows 104 entries for 'Churan', familysearch shows 2,162. I think that's it- very happy. Thanks for playing!
July 3, 20169 yr I dont see that at all... But then again, It is cursive.... Maybe I go to the dépanneur and buy me a two-four of that aforementioned Lowenbrau and when I get dizzy enough, Ill see it!
July 5, 20169 yr What happens when a badge snob thinks they are better than everyone else. SpecialMBParker.jpg I don't blame the vandals.. I mean taking up 2 spots is one way of being an asshole but essentially taking up 5 spots? Fck that person. And for what? A C class? Anybody can get a loan for a C Class if they really want one.
July 5, 20169 yr I forget how nice it is to take a couple days off from constantly working. I need to this more often.

Probably here as well, and I've always wanted to be one of those who parks right next to said asshole driver but I've just been more concerned about my own car than ruining that person's day FYI, just to be clear. I don't condone taking up 2 spaces but that's way less of a douche move than this prick in his C Class Mercedes taking up basically 5.
July 5, 20169 yr Not the owner's fault. Benz's Beta version of autopilot is programmed for a-hole parking. He was merely sitting back and enjoying the ride. The car decided to park that way.

July 9, 20169 yr The moment you realize that computer animated kid's movies are more interesting, entertaining, funnier, than their real human counterpart movie...even the action scenes are dope!!! Tintin, Zootopia, Big Hero 6 are recent movies I just saw with my kids...and a whole lotta fun!!!
July 9, 20169 yr Big hero 6 was really good. I haven't seen the others but i want to watch Zootopia really bad.
July 11, 20169 yr Stinkin' SJW's.... Ugh What's SJW? Social Justice Warrior. Yes the socialist idiots that feel we have to make sure everyone has the same thing as everyone else. After all we gotta make sure the peeps that work hard are supporting the lazy ones sitting around getting stoned all day. Yea, just push the SJW off a cliff and let them deal with the after affect.
July 12, 20169 yr The first 15 seconds frames my auto 'heart' nicely; sculpted sheet metal, fins, special details, big motor, high performance, great great sound. Then thru 0:45 with the lights; just gorgeous. Edited July 12, 20169 yr by balthazar
July 12, 20169 yr After a few days up in the mountains, on my way back to Phoenix yesterday I almost got run over by a semi on I-17... Felt like I was in the movie 'Duel' for a few seconds of terror. Coming down the twisty section of I-17 south of Sunset Point, almost got run over by a semi. I think his brakes were cooked from the descent. Squeezed over to left side of the right lane--60 mph traffic in the left lane) so he could go by on the right breakdown lane. He blew past on the right, brake smoke trailing and sparks flying.. Close call, he didn't use his horn....I just looked in the rear view and saw a huge chrome front bearing down.... He kept going w brake smoke trailing then got off at an exit 1/2 mile later.... I went on to the next exit and stopped at the well known Rock Springs Cafe for a beer and some pie and to relax... Edited July 12, 20169 yr by Cubical-aka-Moltar

Yeah...I did some visuals of the movie "Duel" after you mentioned it while I was reading about your ordeal. Scary stuff...
July 12, 20169 yr Yeah, I was going the speed limit in heavy Sunday afternoon traffic...winding divided freeway section w/ a 6% grade...no truck escape ramps like on I-70 in Colorado... I glanced in the rear view mirror and saw this massive chrome front end bearing down on me (I think it was a Western Star)...the left lane had no room to get in, so I got on the yellow lane divider to give him enough room to get past....I think he brushed the guard rail (several 100 ft drop off into Black Canyon there)...it looked like the brakes on the trailer were gone...lots of pungent brake smoke....(had the sunroof open and smelled it)... talk about a white knuckle experience. Another thought--the driver may have been distracted playing Pokemon Go. Edited July 12, 20169 yr by Cubical-aka-Moltar

July 12, 20169 yr I currently have a Chrysler 200C as a rental car. I have never driven a car so badly sabotaged by its transmission.
July 12, 20169 yr Bong is dunk. That was a negative comment towards an FCA product. I don't believe it!
July 13, 20169 yr I happened to drive a 200 today too (about 150 feet to put it into the building, as it had been rear-ended in a collision and the trunk won't close), and I have to wholeheartedly agree. First off I hate the dial shifter, and secondly, I've never been in a vehicle that hesitated so oddly after the dial was turned to D, then jumped hard into gear like this 200.
July 13, 20169 yr Bong is dunk. That was a negative comment towards an FCA product. I don't believe it! Meh. I like what I like and don't like what I don't like. That's never changed, despite all the whining it can engender from the peanut gallery. Adults talk about cars on car forums. Children talk about posters.

Had it been this one, Id understand Anyways.....Samantha Fox still rules! I so wanna touch her still today....it hurts!

July 13, 20169 yr Mmmm... Samantha Fox..the Big 80s...remember her well.. Pretty sure I never heard of her. Teenager's dream in the 1980s. The way us 80s teenagers had Samantha , you old fogies had Marilyn back in the day... Edited July 13, 20169 yr by oldshurst442
July 13, 20169 yr I was an '80's teenager' also; I just don't remember Samantha Fox, and I don't recall the song, either… but that's not my genre of music.Or it could just be my 'powers' of recollection. Going to have to think who would've been my 'dream' in that period… prolly Catherine Bach. Edited July 13, 20169 yr by balthazar
July 13, 20169 yr Marilyn was over rated in my book, but my dad loved her. I did like Catherine as she was hot in her daisy dukes. Way more hot woman than I can remember from the 70's and 80's.
July 13, 20169 yr Whatcha cuttin up, DD? I'm gutting two of my apartments. I've owned the buildings they are in since 2007, but the neighborhood back then could best be described as "troubled". They have always been low to medium income housing. The market has changed rapidly in the last two years and suddenly there is a large influx of hipster tech workers nearby looking for housing. So I'm completely redoing them in a more "hip" fashion so that I can up the rents and increase the value of the property. The one I'm cutting up now, I'm completely reconfiguring the room layouts. I'm changing it from a standard floorplan 2 bedroom (the bedrooms are tiny) to an open floor plan 1 bedroom. Going to leave one wall in the living room with exposed brick... and electrical conduit on the walls for the electrical outlets.... it's like hipster crack. I'll be able to increase the rents by 50% - 75% over what I was getting before. Then once the leases run out on the remaining two units, I'll term those leases and start on those to apartments in the spring.
July 17, 20169 yr From article in Hot Rod, April 2016, with rep from VP Racing Fuels ~ > "Believe it or not, the technology of the machines used by the industry to measure octane have not been upgraded since the 1930s when it was anticipated that 120 would be the upper limit of any fuel formula. As a result, current fuels that exceed that level can only be reported as '120+ octane'." < VP currently markets 5 fuel formulations at '120+' octane (R+M/2).
