anyone with pointers on how to get rid of skunk smell from a car, let me know.  grrrrrrr .  was not me who hit the skunk remains

Wile Tomato juice works for animals, I have heard from others that Freebreeze works well for skunk in an auto.

I have always used the following for external:

Skunk ordor is hard but not impossible to get rid of.
  1. Measure and pour the distilled vinegar into a garden sprayer.
  2. Add liquid dish detergent to the garden sprayer. ...
  3. With the garden sprayer, begin spraying underneath and all around the car.
  4. Repeat one hour later if the smell remains.

There is also the Amazon option, never used any of them but lots of spays / solutions.

2002 Ford Cougar rebuilt as a Replica 2012 Bugyati for $125,000

https://orlando.craigslist.org/cto/d/winter-springs-2012-bugatti-veyron/6967909699.html

Still has the original Cougar V6

It's not going to fool anyone, but it's a pretty cool conversion.

Agreed...I actually like it.

I will take one of those vintage Mustangs, and a nice vintage F series to go with it.

I wouldn't, i could buy a decent used Mustang GT or Miata for that. Kit cars always seem to have tons of issues.

I think it is a wash between a kit car built and a rusty used mustang.

I want the mustang fresh off of the assembly line like it would be in the advert. heck, give me a Falcon Sprint convertible for  a weekend car.

Did they do much leasing back then? I always had the impression that was something that gained popularity in the 80s

I don't have an answer to that one, but I suspect that yes; it was uncommon relative to today.

Leasing cars does not explode until the 1980s because subsidized leases do not become commonplace until then.

In other news, seems a number of key states have officially fallen into a recession from mid-west to east coast.

Pennsylvania alone shed 8,000 manufacturing jobs this year.

Seems a wide diverse group of manufactures from auto company suppliers to farm equipment manifactures are in contraction.

If the strike lasts more than a week, it could send Michigan into recession.

Very true on that and this just hit that tends to reinforce the recession I believe we are heading into: https://www.cnn.com/2019/09/17/business/overnight-lending-rate-spike-ny-fed/index.html

I openly cheer anachronisms. I could only hope this picture was taken in like 1980 (I have no idea but probably in the 1940s).

It's already common knowledge the Bronco will be based on the Ranger, so it will be RWD/BOF.

Now the baby Bronco (rumored to be Bronco Scout) will be FWD CUV since it's based on the Escape.

Seems pictures of it in camo and an oops uncovered shell hit the news.

Seems Ford Bronco is testing in Australia

This one is a weird looking Canyon what is speculated to be Bronco test mule.

Seems Hertz has decided to start renting 480 and 720 hp Camaro's from Hendrick Motorsports.

That appears to be a "baby Bronco" as you can see the independent rear axles and it also has those FWD proportions.

Yes, first link is the Baby Bronco, second link is the full size bronco. Truly global auto's :metal:

During one of our storms back in 2015 a almost 3,000 unit shipment of BMW and Mini's that arrived in Vancouver BC sat on the dock awaiting transport when this storm hit covering them in heavy sea water mist and rain. As such, the Halifax recall sent all these cars to a salvage yard and now 4 years later they still sit there. New undriven cars. Makes one wonder what kind of deal you can get if you could get them to sell it to you on one of the M series.

Good ole 2WD... Or the jackass doesn't know how to engage 4WD.

They definitely cheapened out on only 2 of the 4 rear wheels being powered.
