November 22, 20169 yr Almost never go to sleep the same day I wake up. 1:03 AM, just finished cutting in the edges in one bathroom. Going to unwind here for 30 mins or so, then hit the pillow. Have estimate @ 9AM tomm to frame out rooms inside a barn. Sounds interesting.

I fondly remember them from when I was a child.
November 22, 20169 yr Saw this for sale in my area today. Now I'm just wondering which organ I can afford to part with. This is a serious bucket list car for me.

November 22, 20169 yr I am finding that more and more Baby Boomers that had lovely Old Iron is selling them as they need their cash to live. Sad, but some amazing options for those of us that love collector cars.

Sad, but some amazing options for those of us that love collector cars. The other thing happening is that modern cars have become so good that vintage cars are less desirable. Modern Shelby GT 350 R anyone....? Also, I got really burned out going to car shows. Would love to own a nice vintage first gen Mustang, but I can pick up a 94-04 Cobra for not a lot of money, autocross the wee out of it, do the occasional track day, and repair ti myself with salvage yard components if I get into a fender bender. Plus, the crash test safety of modern cars is MUCH better. Glad I enjoyed vintage cars when I did....but I really like the stuff from say 1985 and newer and 1954 and earlier much better now. Actually if you can buy a 4 door 59 Cadillac they are not that expensive. A few years ago, a friend of mine picked up a baby blue 4 door hardtop, ran and drove, but ratty looking, no real rust to speak of, for $2500. Add a zero or two for the same thing in a convertible, depending on the condition...
November 22, 20169 yr The older musclecars had it in style all day, everyday. As drivers, not so much. Horrible steering, horrible brakes, massive body roll, etc, etc, etc. a base 4 cylinder Accord would run circles around a great many musclecar in acceleration and annihilate all of them in turning, stopping, safety, convenience, and reliability.

Ever since I first laid my eyes on one up close 25 years ago, it has been numero uno on my want list. I would not kick four door out of the driveway but this is the coup de gras for me!

Grassroots Motorsports ran a feature similar to this a few eyes ago, where a modern Honda Odyssey van ran circles around a few highly esteemed vintage sports cars... November 22, 20169 yr I would love a 1968 Mustang EV. Zombie 222 You should also check out the 1964 Continental EV in Matte Black. This will also rock the world as an EV. More including a convertible Mustang EV. http://www.zombie222.com/

November 22, 20169 yr Just found this Lovely, some how I missed that Dodge showed off an awesome EV auto that never made it past concept in 2008. If Dodge had moved forward, they would have had the first mass market EV auto. Too bad FCA could not see the wisdom in building this. http://newatlas.com/chrysler-battery-electric-dodge-zeo-muscle-car/9121/#gallery Gotta Love the Original White Zombie EV!

I love the body style of the 86,87 Monte Carlo SS. Give is a smooth clean update on the style but not the but ugly FWD appliance that they stuck the name on and with a proper EV powertrain and a decent 100KWh battery pack and you have an awesome daily driver.

Wish GM would make a small sedan with the power train of the bolt....but that is kind of unlikely.

You assume any muscle car out driving moderately aggressively is close to stock. The overwhelming majority are not. Accords are welcome to challenge vintage muscle today :

My first encounter was with one at a specialty shop. It looked exactly like the one picture except the interior was red. It had the original 380 with 63,000 miles on it, all stock and was in mint condition. They were asking $18,000 for it in '92 and if I had a garage then, I would have bought it in a second. Just gorgeous.
November 22, 20169 yr The one I saw was really solid & clean, but unrestored and had been off the road for a while. They really exploded in value after that. 390 CI, BTW.

November 23, 20169 yr Against the standby "the internet is forever" I submit; if you've ever searched online and found any forum pages from -say- 2007 or earlier, they look like someone typed them on a typewriter; mere blocks of type with zero formatting. That's IF you can find anything entered prior to 2007. In general, forum pages created prior to 2011 are close to extinct. In actuality, uploaded information has a very tenuous grasp on even short-term longevity.

November 25, 20169 yr You can have your weenie EV's, but to convert ANY ICE vehicle to wimp ass electric is SACRILEGE and needs to be BANNED.
