Nissan Group reports May 2015 U.S. sales

 

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Nissan Group today announced total U.S. sales for May 2015 of 134,779 units.

 

Nissan highlights:

  • Nissan Division finished May with 124,305 sales.
  • Overall sales of Nissan crossovers, trucks and SUVs set a May record, up 17.6 percent.
  • Sales of the Nissan Rogue crossover increased 38.3 percent to 25,901, setting a May record.
  • Murano crossover sales increased 58.3 percent to 5,715.
  • Sales of the NV200 set an all-time record for any month at 1,631 units.
  • June marks the launch of the all-new, eighth-generation Nissan Maxima, which will soon be available for purchase at Nissan dealerships nationwide.

Infiniti today reported sales of 10,474 vehicles in the U.S. during May, an increase of 0.9 percent versus the prior year.

 

Sales of the Q50 sports sedan were up 16.5 percent year-over-year, the best May sales performance since the model's introduction. Deliveries of the 2015 Q70 luxury performance sedan and Q70L long wheelbase model totaled 691, an increase of 73.6 percent.

 

Deliveries of the QX60 7-passenger luxury crossover were up 14.8 percent, the best May sales performance since the inception of the model. In all, Infiniti crossovers and sport utility vehicles were up 11.2 percent over prior year.
