Speaking at the annual shareholders meeting in Mountain View, California, Tesla CEO Elon Musk said the company will begin rolling out their second model, the Model X, in the next three to four months. The model which was first shown in 2012 and was supposed to start production in 2014, has been hit with a number of delays and problems for various aspects.

Musk said engineers are working on a number of parts of the Model X including the Falcon Wing doors just right before production models begin rolling off the line.

“The Model X will be a better SUV than the Model S is a sedan,” said Musk.

I am interested in what Tusk was talking about when he said other interesting features or more accurately suprises plus I wonder if the Insane Mode will make it into the X.

CNN Money had a great overview of this story also along with their own test of Insane mode and the home battery pack.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, it just looks like a rebranded, slight altered, Ford Focus Mk2.

Price???

five dollars?

Price???

Teslas own web site says it will compete against the Luxury SUV makers in price. So expect a stripped down model to start around $75,000 and go up to over $100,000

Thanks,

Yeah, no.

I suppose if you squint your eyes and contort your face just right...

My cousin has been following the news on these and is anxious to buy one.  She's interested in it for the safety angle, I think.
