Jeep Cherokee To Keep Distinctive Look For Upcoming Refresh

Featured Replies

The Jeep Cherokee has become quite the popular vehicle for the brand, despite its polarizing looks which turned off many Jeep loyalists. Don't expect the design to change anytime soon according to a new report.

Automotive News reports that the Cherokee will be undergoing a mid-cycle refresh in mid-2016 and strategists are planning to keep the look.

"I think the overall styling, the overall shape, the overall accommodation of that vehicle is spot on. I don't think that there's anything that dramatically needs to change with that vehicle going forward," said Mike Manley, Jeep's boss.

In some trims, it actually looks pretty good. Still reminds me a bit of the Aztec, which in this case is not so bad.

The thing that turns me off about them is all the tranny issues they have with them....

I've had 3 of them as rentals (plus two Chrysler 200) lately and I think the transmission issue is put to bed.

Good. We need more unique vehicles on the road. At least this thing doesn't look like every other CUV on the market. I actually really like them in Trailhawk guise.

this.  I have grown to really like these.

the trailhawk is the only version i could see in my driveway. there was actually a review that i saw showing it was more capable than the venerable xj it replaced. I still prefer the styling of the grand cherokee by far.

Somewhat, yes.

Just don't tell that to my local dealership.

That said, I wouldn't mind a trailhawk myself.......

LOVE the Trailhawk!  The others aren't bad though, just different.
