According to the Today show this morning, Volkswagen has for the first 6 months of the 2015 year taken over Toyota and pushed GM to 3rd in worldwide sales.

With that then VW follows it up with the normal financial reporting of earnings up 18% for the first 6 months, revenue grew 10.3% to $52.74 billion for the first half. This is on top of VW saying over all deliveries will be flat in 2015 compared to 2014 but due to efficiency and currency translations profits will grow. Yet with this positive info, VW stock is down 30% for the year.

The story goes on to report that VW sold 5.04 million autos in the world, Toyota sold 5.02 million and GM was just a distant 3rd in global sales.

Guess people mostly like bland boring auto design. Sad  :nono:
