May 8, 200619 yr Whats the WEIRDEST thing you've EVER seen on the highway? Yesterday me and sixty8panther were driving back from a car show and saw a HORSE on route 3 north. LOL
May 8, 200619 yr Author True.... lol I was talking more about stuff that SHOULDNT be on the highway, NOT cars, LOL
May 8, 200619 yr The first thing that comes to mind: On my now famous roadtrip down to Penn/N.J. last Nov. I was driving along in the middle of the Jersey Turnpike and saw a shrinkwrapped helocopter... but not some little trafffic chopper or lifeline chopper, I mean like a HUGE Chopper, the size of the HIND. Looked like one of those big Coast Guard ones... it was wrapped up like a Jr. Bacon Cheesburger from Wendys but in blue plastic. Weird for sure. It didn't even look like it would clear an overpass.
May 8, 200619 yr When I was a kid, my mom ran smack into a dresser that had apparently fallen off a truck on the highway. It was late, and pitch black. The guy in front of us swerved, but she didn't see it in time. She was driving an '81 Park Avenue at the time, and besides a broken grille and turn signal, there was no real damage. The dresser was destroyed. -RBB
May 8, 200619 yr Yeah, I'm pretty sure a 1981 GM anything will destroy furniture made of particle board without any rea damage. Here's that photo of the Horse on Rt. 3 BTW. Edited May 8, 200619 yr by Sixty8panther
May 8, 200619 yr um... a house... it was on one of those house carriers or wutever... but the thing had broken down in the middle lane... and it looked like a house was sitting there haha
May 8, 200619 yr It would definately have to be the guys selling bottled water on I 95 right in the middle of the interstate before the GW bridge in NYC and then all the bottles full of pee as you go onto the GW bridge.
May 8, 200619 yr A man on 9th Ave in NYC in a long, pink flowery dress, stoletto heels, and a cowboy hat. An airplane. (apparently it had mistaken the Hampton Roads Beltway down in Virginia Beach for the runway) An abandoned boat sitting on the side of I-83 outside of Harrisburg, PA We get an occasional duck on the road near my house, too.
May 9, 200619 yr Even more disturbing is that it seems people in my neck of the woods have collectively decided that beige Toyota Priuses are acceptable transportation. Worse still it seems that Honda Elements are actually selling.
May 9, 200619 yr A 1969 Dodge Charger Daytona towing a pretty big trailer. Yes I mean the car that looks like this:
May 9, 200619 yr Aside from the non-automotive stuff (I watched a building move down a highway once), I once passed an Eagle Premier limousine on the highway once.
May 9, 200619 yr There are these white lines that turn from being kinda dotted to just solid lines...theyre pretty fun too..yaj just gotta look down the window. Dont try counting them youll get dizzy.
