August 27, 201510 yr Author Canadian pricing is absolutely brutal. The Z/28 may actually be CHEAPER: "Ford Canada’s pricing for the GT350 starts at $62,599, with two optional packages – Track and Technology. The GT350R, on the other hand, starts at $79,499. Admittedly, there is a lot of choice at this end of the price spectrum." Edited August 27, 201510 yr by El Kabong
August 27, 201510 yr Author Props where props are due-it sounds like a fun car to drive. The instrumented testing will tell the full story. But ya, the Canadian pricing... wow. A couple months ago I was looking at a window sticker for a Z/28 that rang in at 81,000 Loonies, and I thought to myself "hmmm." Now we get this up here after hearing about how the GT350 was going to be more capable AND affordable and all I can think is "I'll wait for the final verdict on that."

That is pretty crappy that massive price difference.. what 13, 14k? Turns out to still be more afordable, but much less so upon further review.

August 29, 201510 yr I missed this... We Canucks, we've got oil up here. And gold. Diamonds too. Well, those are in Africa that we control. Do we actually control some blood diamond mines, or did the Brits cut us out of that loop? It dont matter...we got diamonds in the souls of our shoes...always have. That is why throughout history...we ALWAYS have had HIGHER mother effin' prices that you Yanks down South on any mothereffin' product! It dont matter what product it is....Ive even heard Hydro-Mothereffin' Quebec sells our mothereffin' electricity CHEAPER to you North Eastern Americans than what we mothereffin' pay! Chill out dude! Here is a song to mellow you out!
August 29, 201510 yr Author Dood. We have diamonds out the wazoo up in the Northwest Territories-screw the blood diamond crap. Google "Diavik." It's where I get the rocks for the missus. Also, the cheap Quebec hydro is a gift from Newfoundland, courtesy of a Preimier who was stupid short-sighted in his financial dealings. Edited August 29, 201510 yr by El Kabong

I know...about the diamonds...I was trying to be funny...in a negative way towards our beautiful country. I LOVE Canada!!! Birks. taht is where I bought my wife's diamond ring. And yeah...Canadian mine. I forget which mine...but the ring came with a certificate authenticating it is indeed a Canadian diamond. Also, something about us Canadians NOT supporting blood diamonds. Whatever. (Just kidding on that) About the Hydro-Quebec stuff... True...but also...Hydro-Quebec sells it to the States at low enough prices, but sometimes, the Northern States dont use all the electricity they buy, so it gets redirected back into Quebec's pool, and when that happens..I believe, they sell it back to us at a much much higher rate than what we sell them... And I think...some Maine and Vermont consumers are peeved with Hydro-Quebec with that kind of business practice... OK...back to the GT350... Edited August 29, 201510 yr by oldshurst442
August 29, 201510 yr Author It's a nice car. The engine appears to behave a chassis capable of using it. Ford will do good with it.
