October 21, 20169 yr ...and not every motor needs to be an LS, Hemi or Olds big Block... I am a huge fan of Mazda products. If I only had money, I would have a vintage Alfa in the garage!
October 21, 20169 yr Yes, everyone can laugh, but here is the latest object of my lust. More 911 Love! Wish I had bought a Lotus a few years ago when they were cheaper and my income was a bit higher. Just because I love the photograph.
October 21, 20169 yr I have Alfa on the brain for some reason... Obviously I am in a Japanese and Italian frame of mind today. There is an autocross in the south which is Axis Vs. Allies, where Germany, Italy and japan take on American and British cars.
October 21, 20169 yr I really find the 1969-1970 Boss 302 to be one of the best looking post war cars built by Ford. A little bit of Mopar love to go with the Alfa love and the....you get the picture. This one is a 68, Green on Green on Green 70 440 R/T charger at the last cars and coffee I went to here in Columbus. I love this body style charger, but the 66-67 and 71-74 cars are also really, really gorgeous also.
October 21, 20169 yr Imagine this in triple Green and you have the car I liked so much at cars and Coffee. Lotus Cortina, BMW, Alfa....
October 21, 20169 yr I really like the 67-68 Notchback/coupe Mustang also. It's why I keep posting of my desire to own a California special in the dream garage threads.
October 21, 20169 yr This image has been resized. Click this bar to view the full image. This is why I was trying to get su to think about non traditional (not mainstream Camro/firebird/Grand national/Vette) GM tuff as part of the Carzy Uncle thread. GM made lots of really cool stuff that si just a little bit outside of the mainstream thought of car guys.
October 21, 20169 yr Your "problem" Horsey is; you're a lover, not a hater. As in, you see beauty in EVERYTHING. I get that now. - - - - - - Give me a spoon, please.

All cool in their own way.
October 28, 20169 yr Imola Orange is a very rare S2000 color, also available on the NSX. Lime green was a color they also shared that is very rare.

November 8, 20169 yr Love the plain Jane Grand Prix at the end...I really have a soft spot for this era of GM midsize car.
June 14, 20178 yr This Builder takes a Mazda MX-5 and builds these English Style Roadsters. Mitsuoka Himiko The Mitsuoka Himiko is a Japanese sports car designed and built by Mitsuoka. It is named after Himiko, an obscure shaman queen of Yamataikoku in ancient Wa. In the UK it is known as the Mitsuoka Roadster. Based on the Mazda MX-5 NC, Mitsuoka replaces most of the body panels, fits Fibre-reinforced plastic panneling, leather seats and extends the wheelbase front of the A-pillar to generate the long bonnet line reminiscent of English roadsters such as the Jaguar XK120 and particularly the Morgan Aero 8. Designed by Takanori Aoki, the exterior theme of the Himiko is said to mimic a 'ship riding the high seas cruising majestically as one with the waves'. Transmission and roof options are similar to the MX-5 with the option of either a 6 speed automatic transmission with manual shifting or a 6 speed manual transmission. Each Mitsuoka vehicle is handmade by just 45 skilled craftsmen at the Japanese Mitsuoka factory in Toyama City, Japan. http://www.mitsuoka-motor.co.uk/ http://www.mitsuoka-himiko.com/ Bing Images

December 16, 20178 yr @daves87rs Agree YUM Found this on the Auction site, shocked at the high price it sold for $117,700 but then only 1200 miles, pristine and still on the Original Goodyear VR50 tires it came with from the factory. https://www.barrett-jackson.com/Events/Event/Details/1987-BUICK-GRAND-NATIONAL-GNX-COUPE-194306
December 16, 20178 yr The one I always loved, 1987 Monte Carlo SS Aerocoupe in Maroon. Only 200 Built to meet Nascar rules for competition. Talk about a lovely rare bird, rarer than the Grand National GNX of which 547 were built.
December 16, 20178 yr Author The 2 generations of the 1960s A-Body from GM (1964-1967 & 1968-1972) and the last generation of GM's G-Body (1978-1987,1988) have got to be one of my favorite muscle car stylings of all time. And that would be across all the brands that used these platforms. It dont matter if it be Chevy or Pontiac or Oldsmobile or Buick. Awesome stuff! Edited December 16, 20178 yr by oldshurst442

December 17, 20178 yr Author 7 hours ago, dfelt said: What the hell are those blue smurf mobiles? Call it the opposite of a Corvette. If the Corvette packs a huge V8 in a front mid-engine configuration powering the rear wheels, the Alpine has a diminutive 4 cylinder in a rear mi-engine layout powering the rear wheels. (For it to be 100% the opposite, it have to be powering the front wheels...) One thing for sure is that both Alpines (new and old) are awesome little race cars. I want me one. The new one. I could park it next to my Fiat 124 Abarth. (the new one as well.) Edited December 17, 20178 yr by oldshurst442
