If you like the Red Hot Chili Peppers (or alternative in general), you're going to love this album. I've had it for all of two hours and it's already a candidate for album of the year (for me, at least)! I suggest purchasing form the iTunes Music Store, as you get a video on the making of the video for "Dani California," a 17-page digital booklet, and an hour-long audio commentary. (Ultimate-Guitar.com said you can get a special edition with these bonuses plus some other toys for US$130. Yeah, I'm gonna have to stick with just paying $19.90.) Recommended tracks:

I love the Chilis. That's one of the things I miss about living in Maryland, a great alternative rock radio station, WHFS 105.7. Thanks to them, I got to see so many great bands at their annual HFStival concert (that sometimes ran for two days) that was presented at RFK Stadium.

Picked up the CD for the girlfriend yesterday, she's a huge RHCP fan, so i'll probably listen to it some time this week :-)
