Cadillac Pushrods

Featured Replies

This Cadillac motor displaced 7.4 liters, it featured

two carburators and was considered to be one of

the most presigeous engines of it's era, even

though a competitor's DOHC engine had much

more power esp. wiht the optional supercharger.

What motor am I talking about?

HINT: it was later redesigned & downsized to 7.1 liters.

Yup... the 1st OHV series. :)

The earlier OHV engines were actually gorgeous to look at--lots of attention to detail. The later flathead models were pretty darned boring, in spite of all the spark plugs sticking up out of the heads.

Here's one of the OHV ones:

Hey... I'd take a flathead V16 anyday... but yes of course

the OHV ones have quite a timeless and pornographic look

to them. THey'd look very much at home on a stand next

to the new 2003 SIXTEEN's motor.
