My current automotive obsession is the Subaru Crosstrek.  Last time I was close to one was in 2013 before I bought my VW Beetle TDi.  I test drove one.  At that point, it was mostly the interior that turned me off, with a huge percentage of hard, black plastic that conveyed a dismally cheap, drab feeling.

 

Since then, improvements have been made inside the vehicle, along with a minor freshening on the outside... plus I swear I'd call this new color Petty Blue.  It looks really good on this little CUV.  Subaru calls it Hyper Blue.

Subaru has never made an interior that has impressed me now that I think about it. 

Aside from the Infotainment system, I really don't see the changes in the interior

The powertrain really was blah (CVT version)... if shared with the Impreza of same vintage.

The 2017 Impreza interior is much less drab looking overall so that is good news for the next Crosstrek.

I'm just in love with that color.
