This one is always the hardest for me, because there are just so, so many amazing choices. Some of my absolute favorite cars ever reside in this category. I could probably compile this list 5 times and have 5 different lists. But, here goes-

Porsche Carrera GT- My favorite car of all time. Had to be here.

2005-Porsche-Carrera-GT.jpg

MB CLS63 AMG- A  surprise coming from me, but too much car to overlook. My DD and grand tourer.

01-2012-mercedes-cls-63-amg.jpg

New Land Cruiser- Family hauler and off-road fun.

2016-Toyota-LandCruiser-GXL-Diesel-Revie

Diablo SV- Another all-time fave of mine. Reserved for special events/date nights.

diablo_sv_bla_04stor.jpg

Shelby GT350R- Had to have a Domestic, and something for the track.

Having to leave off the Ferrari Maranello, some V12 Aston, the E38 750i, along with a few others really, really hurt.

Replace anything except the Tucker with a truck and this could be my list also. Actually, after thinking about it for a second, swap the Cadillac for some sort of truck.

Edited by Scout

Good choice on the Tucker Torpedo, that was going to be one of my 5 also.  I also was going to pick a CLS63 since it is a bit more special than an E63.  And even though I picked the S550 in the 4 liter thread, the problem with the S63 is one day you'll pull up next to some one with an S65, and wish you had the top model.

I need to think about my other choices to round out my list.  CLS63 and Tucker are probably in my top 5 though.

I really really love that CLS 63 AMG Frisky...

I guess Ill have to choose one also. I did not choose it with the MT edition, but I will this time around

TT 5.5L V8.

I wont do a convertible in this one, but I will do T-Tops.

The Jag may be a tad long in the tooth at this point in time, but its still a sexy car.

Besides, Cadillac does not have anything in this range just yet, let alone a V8 in the 5.0-5.9 liter range.

And the Germans dont do a car I like either, other than the BMW M6 Gran Coupe and the M-B CLS AMG.

I would trade my 5.5 liter naturally aspirated V8 for the twin turbo version in the CLS63 for the daily driver.

5th car would be a Tucker Torpedo, with honorable mention to the Hudson Hornet, which had a 5 liter straight 6.

  1. 1952 Hudson Hornet (5.0L Straight Six)
  2. 1955 Chrysler C-300 (331 Cubic-Inch FirePower V8)
  3. 2016 Ram 1500 Express Regular Cab (5.7 HEMI V8)
  4. 2005 Mercedes-Benz E55 Wagon (Supercharged 5.4L V8)
  5. 2016 Ford Falcon XR8 Sprint (5.0L Supercharged V8)

Hudsons are a great choice, their 308 Wide Block I-6 was NASCAR champ for a few years running in the early '50s.

My daily(s)... Range Rover Sport SVR, CLS 63, Sierra Denali 1500(yes, it can be had with a 5.3)

Now for some toys!

However... I'm not sure how much the truck would get driven so I think I'd swap that out for what I saw somebody else post, SLR Mclaren. I've always LOVED those cars! Plus, if I wanted to tow any toys around I'm sure the SVR could tow enough.

Just looked it up because I was curious... The SVR can tow up to 6614lbs. I think that would be adequate for anything I'd need, like hauling any of the 3 toys, just not all at once!

After checking out the Sierra Denali with the 5.3's towing capabilities While definitely lower in the SVR after lowding the Denali to the gills it would be right around 9000lbs towing for itself. Significant difference but both will do the job I'd ask of them. I's just prefer another toy over another family-hauler-sized vehicle... considering I don't have kids.

Not a great picture, but a mid sixties Ford ragtop with a 352.....this one is a 67, which was a fantastic year for Ford styling.

You knew the 68 Cali special Mustang was coming, right......?

Something along the lines of the above, but set up with a 352 V-* and 4 speed as a weekend cruiser.

So 5 Fords, the 1965-67 Convertible, the 68 Cali Special, 57 Thunderbird, Edsel ragtop, and the 63 1/2 Ford 2 door hardtop. A nice all Ford collection for this one. And my apologies for the old stuff here, I have had 1950's and 1960's cars on the brain lately.

I love the F-Type. I actually like the earlier cars more. The new SVR doesn't do it for me. Too much of the aesthetic is lost in the name of performance.

Glad their is some F type love here, to me it is one of the most unique and likeable premium cars.
