April 2, 20169 yr I wish FCA and Mazda would just hook up already. To me, they are about the only obvious partners of the traditional OEM's (meaning not Chinese). The overlap would mostly be with Fiat in the A and B segments but otherwise I think they compliment each other nicely. The 3 and 6 are well regarded cars that would make a nice Dart and 200. A and B segment cars could come off a common platform designed by Mazda but with Italian styling for the Fiat variants. I don't even necessarily think it needs to be a merger. It could be something more along the lines of the Renault/Nissan or Hyundai/Kia alliances. It seems like too good of a fit so it will probably never happen.
April 4, 20169 yr C'mon Mazda, you can rally back! They're selling the best cars that nobody buys, I swear. The recent C&D comparo win will hopefully boost some sales for the Mazda6.
April 5, 20169 yr supposedly the CX-4 and new ('17s) mazda3 and 6 will debut in china later this month. With the CX-9 not quite on the lots, this model would take a heavy hit. The mazda 5 really needs to be updated or discontinued. Is this pretty much the only MPV left, or does the ford connect/transit count? i think the worst thing about owning a mazda is the dealer network is sparse.

I'd say that the Transit Connect is a competitor, though a superior one. I'm pretty sure the Mazda5 has already been discontinued, they're just selling what little they had left. It's a shame, as it was the only modern van that could be had with a manual transmission. Edited April 5, 20169 yr by Thed
April 5, 20169 yr I genuinely feel bad for Mazda because they really are the best car that nobody's buying. Heck, I would have been in a CX-5 if the ones that were in my price range weren't the first gen with only the 155hp engine. I won't put myself in a 155hp cuv..no way. Yeah, the 5 isn't on their website as of now.
