Spied: The NeXt 5

Posted Image

Edmunds gives us a glimpse at the 2007 X5. It is bigger than the current one and this set of pictures show...very little, really. But the new X5 is stated to be more evolutionary-looking. Hey, as long as they don't make it look anything like the X3, I'll be happy.

Second-Generation BMW X5 Draws Nearer @ Edmunds

  • 3 weeks later...

I think it looks OK, apart from the weird bubbly headlights.

well, it looks like the current X5 will remain desirable for a long time. No need to wait until the next version, the one now looks far better. This looks like a Pilot with a Bangle grille.

I'm starting to get weary of BMW styling, except for the new 3 series. Too soft. Aero or soft corners is not in right now.

That's OBVIOUSLY a photoshop.

You REALLY think you would see totally undisguised, production versions of the new X5 driving around when the vehicle hasn't even been introduced at an auto show or released to the motoring press by BMW?

I wouldn't put any stake in these photos.

I know the first photo has been slightly digitally touched-up; it says so in the article.

The other photos are not as they still have camo on them.

The rear end is horrible as it looks like BMW was inspired by the new Civic. The front is alright, it looks mean and somewhat bad ass, but it does not look masculine. More like a stereotypical gay guy with a bitch attitude. The sides look good, though. I think I would take a current X5.
