November 11, 20169 yr Over the next 18 months, Audi is planning to double its lineup of RS models. At the moment, Audi sells 7 RS models. By the end of the 18 month period, that will grow to 15. Autocar reports the likely models will include RS versions of the A1 and Q5, an all-new RS4, and possibly a hardcore version of the R8. “There is more to come. We have one company, one name and we have a brand. But we will remain exclusive,” said quattro GmbH CEO Stephan Winkelmann. Winkelmann went on to say that it would not go the same road as AMG by selling more models. RS would be going in a different direction in terms of development, though he didn't say what that direction would be. “We have a lot of plans but are not revealing them yet. It is better to under-promise and over-deliver.” Source: Autocar View full article
November 11, 20169 yr So that should make- RS1 RS3 RS4 RS5 RS6 RS7 TT RS Q3 RS Q5 RS That only makes 9. If they're already counting the R8, 10. So to fill 5 more vacancies would mean a Q7 RS is likely, as well as an RS8 and Q2 RS, even. That's still only 13. If they made an RS5 Sportback and counted that, that'd be 14. That seems to indicate there is something else coming that will be itself based on an all new model. Interesting.
November 11, 20169 yr This should be interesting to watch, wonder if that wonderful software will be on the cars? Plus Audi's seem to put out much more soot for a gas powered auto than I see out of others.
