May 15, 200619 yr This is a pretty tough one. What car was similar to what Bob Lutz sketched on a napkin at an expensive restaurant/ Clue:It was his dream car. What company did he work for at this time and why did he give it away to a reporter?
May 16, 200619 yr Author He was working for the Chrysler group. The vehicle had no brand at first even though he designed it for them. It wasn't Chrysler. You need a different car and why it didnt become a Chrysler.
May 16, 200619 yr Author No. Clue: The vehicle was a GM. Forget about why it didnt become a Chrysler. It was rejected and he gave away the drawing to a journalist but he did use a very similar design in producing a GM vehicle when he came over to GM. Concept or Production, I will not tell?

May 16, 200619 yr no if i remember correctly that was a different designers dream car... he designed it as his last masterpeice before he retired... a MASTERPIECE it is indeed.
May 16, 200619 yr Author CSpec is right, it was the Sixteen. It was drawn on a napkin and Chrysler left the idea. So he gave the drawing away and later at GM. He used a similar design for the Sixteen. It is all in the book, The End Of Detroit. I read it, it was good. It said that in the book i am not sure what chapter but it did.
