January 28, 20179 yr What's your favorite model that was a one and done? The rules are: One generation only with no major refreshes. Minor refreshes are allowed. An example of the maximum minor refresh would be something like the Cadillac Catera which got updates front and rear fascias and lights, but otherwise remained unchanged in looks. The Catera was a one generation model. No cheating with sub-models that are based off of some mainstream model (Typhoon, Syclone, GNX are examples) unless that mainstream model was also a One and Done. A nameplate that fits the One and Done criteria, but who's name had been used decades before and brought back will still count (Roadmaster is an example) You can pick any car that was in production and sold in your market from 1990 - 1999. ... and GO!
January 28, 20179 yr Author One of my favorite One and Done in these years is the Cadillac Allante. While they had electrical gremlins, I still find them striking today.
January 28, 20179 yr My very own 1999 Oldsmobile Alero. GLS 2 door coupe. OSV concept I wished this car stuck around. (Along with the brand) I totally see the Alero be the Buick Regal we have today. But better!
January 28, 20179 yr Mazda Millenia ( oh hi BV ) If choosing an exotic, McLaren F1 Overall cannot say I miss the mainstream cars of the 90s aside from efforts like the MR2.. or Hondas before they got bigger and softer to suit the North American market.
January 29, 20179 yr Do cars that were one generation in a line of successors count? For example- Diablo, Ferrari F355, etc?

January 30, 20179 yr Cost-no-object- McLaren F1 w/ High Downforce Kit Didn't have new gen, but is part of a lineage- Ferrari 360 Modena (1999) On a realistic note- BMW 850csi
January 30, 20179 yr Cost no object, like Frisky said, F40. If this has to be something I drive daily... ehhh lemme think more about that one. The 360 Modena would be a gem. That was one of the first cars I ever drooled over as a kid.
