VW EV Pikes Peak Racer Tease for 2018

VW attempt to put their Diesel gate behind them was shown today in their press announcement of their return to Pikes Peak racing to set a new world EV auto record on June 24th 2018 in Colorado. This 12.4 mile long drive climbs 4,700 feet to the summit at just over 14,000 feet above sea level. The current record for VW to beat was set last year by Rhys Millen in an EV Prototype at 8 min and 57.118 seconds.
