Spied (again): Chrysler Sebring Convertible

Posted Image

The Chrysler Sebring convertible has been captured in pictures (or a picture, rather) before but this is a much clearer image. What should you expect to see? Well, let's just say the Monte Carlo may no longer hold the title of "Longest, Most Pickup Trucklike Rear End on a Car".

Oh, and there's another picture of the sedan.

Read "Seeing Double?" @ Autoweek

Wow, the convertible looks really ungainly. Makes the G6 with the top up look like a supermodel.

Is it just me or does the sedan appear to be rather small?

I actually think it'll look pretty cool, in an old-school-art-deco-Crossfire-convertible sort of way.

So far that is the unsexiest convertible I've ever seen! Good heavens!

my god it looks like a dumpster fell on the back of that thing...that was my initial impression anyway.

maybe they can slap some tail fins on it and smooth it out somewhat.

The retracting top looks to stand extremely upright. At this point, the resulting decklid looks really long and disproportionate.

they must be jacking around with the lines on this 'vert. looks odd.

I can't wait to see the new Sebring in the bare, chiseled metal

I think so too......

Glad to see they are staying with a soft-top....and looks like the Sebring will have plenty of trunk space as well....much more practical than G6 convertible.

Too bad Sebring will probably end up being another "rental queen."

Any idea of engines in these new cars? The 250hp 3.5L would be a nice top-of-the-line engine choice.

Well, the front end is kind of ugly.

What????

I LOVE that front end! I love the headlight and grille treatments......very slick...!

... I suppose... lol, it's one of those thing's where if I'm not blown away instantly by it's beauty, I consider it ugly-ish... I guess my beef is with the car, it seems like their trying to throw too many thing's unto this car, trying every design cue in the book, but there are some thing's that just don't seem to fit. I'll probably like warm up to this in a few months, right about when it launches.

....and granted we are looking at heavily-camo'd prototypes.

Well, the front end is kind of ugly.

I think it's lovely, if a bit VW Eos-ish.

The front end almost looks like it came from a 90's Benz. Sure, it is nice and upscale for its target market, but it is also somewhat half-baked.

This is going to be a kick-ass car.

So far... I say it's mediocre. At best. <_<
