Girls? Prepare to get your oss kicked... it's "womyn". I'm surprised you're not up on your lingo. :)

Jeep Grand Cherokees are pretty womanly as well.

The current one isn't, but I'm sure that's who's mostly buying.

I'm worried, is the Solstice a chick car?....I see mainly chicks driving them.

I'm wondering too, will the new Subaru Forester be as popular with lesbians as the last one?

satty held the title for one day with most aged thread revived and now today we go 3 years back!

just anout any asian cute ute and the tiguan are chick cars supreme. the CRv is the worst/best example and the RAV4 and sante fe too. But the new forester may end up taking the whole crown.
The Solstice is definitely a chick car. Did you even have to ask? Maybe Cougar car would be a better term, since its mostly women of a certain age group driving them. There is also that one owned by the alcoholic metrosexual 20-something guy.

Well, I was browsing through the Lounge right from the first posting, and got all nostalgic....

I agree about the Forester, it will be THE chick car. Just outdoorsy enough but not too rugged. And heck chicks need cars too. And lesbians too!

Honestly I always thought the Solstice would be more a 50/50 gender thing.
This isn't scientific or anything, but I'm seeing more men driving Skys.
It must be the styling thing....is the Solstice more feminine and the Sky more masculine?

Yep the New Beatle is still as girly as it gets.
Did I hear that VW is redoing this car closer to the original Beatle?...maybe it will lose it's feminine side.

Quick! Hide this before Cort gets here!

That makes me very mad just looking at it.
I've always thought that Jettas are the stereotypical chick car...especially college chicks

I think you are right about the Jetta.....it probably gave some Euro cache on a budget.

I don't think blackviper will like you calling his car a chick car ...

Everything has its exceptions...I think every car I've owned except my Regal has already been mentioned by someone...
Do GLBTs care how feminine or masculine a car is?

Mustang V6 'Vert.
Toyota Prius (almost always see stupid chicks in those that are slow and bad drivers)
Toyota Corolla
Pontiac Sunfire
VW New Beetle
VW Jetta (prev. gen)
My vote goes to the VW Beetle. Solstice is a distant second, followed by white Jetta's.
We have two guys driving beetle Converts who are room mates and live in my neighborhood.

They are both very masculine types, but I have to laugh when I see them cruising around in a baby blue beetle convertible.

That being said, I drive a Miata and my teenage daughter wants us to get a beetle. I'll gladly drive a Mini or a Miata, but a beetle ragtop is pushing the limits a bit much for a guy...

What are you trying to say? smilewide.gif

...that when Joanna (my 12 year old daughter) gets her wish and gets a beetle convertilbe there ain't a whole lotta chance of me borrowing it.
