March 27, 20196 yr Lincoln has released a teaser video and picture to generate some buzz head of the NY International Auto Show in 3 weeks. The Lincoln Corsair will take over for the Lincoln MKC when it goes on sale late this year. Two of the engine options will carry over, the 2.0T and 2.3T ecoboost 4-cylinders, but a plug-in hybrid variant will bow in as well. The Corsair fills in the entry level of Lincoln's SUV lineup, but if it is anything like the Aviator and Navigator, it will greatly up the ante on interior appointments and luxury. Corsair is a nod to the nautical and aviation naming theme that Lincoln is using for its SUVS. Corsair is unique in that is has been used both for boats and planes. View full article
March 27, 20196 yr I wish it all the success and hope folks do not confuse it with GM Corvair history.
March 27, 20196 yr Author I think it has a great looking profile. Even though we know it's not RWD, it looks like it could be.
March 27, 20196 yr Popular Post Looking good. So glad Lincoln is using names again. Hint hint Cadillac...

March 28, 20196 yr Probably won't look or drive at all like a Ford Escape.... oh wait. I give credit to Lincoln for the name changes, upping their interior game and getting a more cohesive and consistent styling theme going on. But all these are still dressed up Fords.

After owning an Escape and now an MKC, again, you'd be surprised how different they are. Lincolns have adaptable/customizable suspensions, the MKC has a wider track front and rear than an Escape, all double pane glass and thicker door seals to isolate outside noises, the only thing inside that represents a Ford is the window and light switch-gear.
March 29, 20196 yr I do wish that Cadillac brings back names (especially for the crossovers!). Those who own an Escalade brag about it all day.

March 30, 20196 yr They should do a coupe version and call it Mariner, and a coupe of the Aviator called the Mountaineer.
March 30, 20196 yr They should do a coupe version... I have yet to see a personal running gag go on so long.
