Believe it or not

It might be hard to believe but apparently someone has traded in a Solstice at the Chrysler dealership across from where I work. Has anyone else seen any preowned Solstices already?

There's always some Bozo that buys a brand new

hot car just to show it off as a d!ck extension &

then sell it two months later. Stupid yes, but it's a

free country & some people have money to burn.

The Solstice is still hot, so if you're lucky enough to get a new one close to sticker then turn around and sell it for a profit, why not? Its a roadster, a niche car, odds are in a couple of years the demand wont be so high, might as well take having a supply as long as the demand is there.

This may not have been a trade-in, it could have been bought at auction, originally purchased by a speculator looking to make a quick profit. And of course the Chrysler dealership wants it on their lot to generate buzz, curiousity, and more profit.

Yep, a LOT of dealers here do that all the time--mostly the larger used-only lots that have a lot of couple year old vehicles. One in particular currently has an HHR with around 1k miles on it.

The new car ones have also done it, as one local chain that sells a few brands ALWAYS gets (1) of the hottest new cars, drives it around a little and puts it on the used car lot for show--they've had a couple GTO's with a few miles and now a Solstice, but are a Chevy-only dealer at this one location.
