June 1, 200619 yr Here's an idea... let's start a thread of our favorite Camaro photos/artwork of all time. Here's mine. Edited June 2, 200619 yr by Sixty8panther
June 1, 200619 yr I can't find any nice pictures of this "Camaro" you speak of... ...but here's something good I came up with while searching Just kidding. I do like the Firebird better but I won't dis the Camaro that bad, or I feel 68 may come up here, tie me down, and do a burnout on my face.
June 2, 200619 yr Author To each his own Y.D. It's the F-body haters who drive 4.6 liter Mustangs I can's stand. Some Mustang guys are so smug and yet ignorant. Their arrogance is pretty funny since durring the 1990s the Camaro kicked the Mustang's very @$$ consistantly. (no, you're not in this category Z-Lock) This can be an F-body thread, that's fine with me. Very cool 2nd gen. Firebird. http://i2.tinypic.com/11ce5tx.jpg Here's XP's '77 Cutty again. OCNBLU: no comment. Edited June 2, 200619 yr by Sixty8panther
June 2, 200619 yr I wouldn't mind having a '70-'73 Firebird 400, in blue with black vinyl, with a 4 speed and no spoiler.
June 2, 200619 yr Author Very cool.... give me a '75 Trans Am with the Screaming Chicken on the hood and a 572 underhood mated to a 6-speed manual. Or better yet a 1969 COPO ZL1. 100% stock.
June 2, 200619 yr mmm 67-68 bodystyle Firebirds... gimme a 68 400 in black anyday... and this... is quite possibly the most beautiful car ive ever seen... 1969 camaro... ZL1 replica... tuxedo black with red interior when i first saw that picture... i was speechless for a solid 5 minutes
June 2, 200619 yr mmm 67-68 bodystyle Firebirds... gimme a 68 400 in black anyday... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Paint this black and make it a coupe and you have what I plan to do to a certain Firebird I know of... (They didn't sell it! f@#k yeah!)
June 2, 200619 yr Author Holy hell... that's sex on wheels right there. Red interior, gloss black, bumperetts & the dog dish hubcaps... too bad half the windows are still up.
June 2, 200619 yr See the sig. :AH-HA_wink: I prefer the red one. There's something about F-body convertibles that strikes me as unnatural.
June 2, 200619 yr I prefer the red one. There's something about F-body convertibles that strikes me as unnatural. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I have another one...but a certain member already has the paint scheme in his sig. Ah, f@#k it. Wait a sec. :AH-HA_wink:
June 2, 200619 yr How's this? (It's still a 'vert, but, eh...) V Edited June 2, 200619 yr by YellowJacket894
June 2, 200619 yr I have another one...but a certain member already has the paint scheme in his sig. Ah, f@#k it. Wait a sec. :AH-HA_wink: Yeahhh, boy! I love that one and the red one that's on my desktop..
June 2, 200619 yr Ah, I had to go back to the other one. It lacked...individuality, ya' know? You whore
June 2, 200619 yr You whore <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Ah, damn. I'm confused. Meeeh...I'll leave it the way it is. At least it says "Official Pace Car" on the side. Edited June 2, 200619 yr by YellowJacket894
June 2, 200619 yr Not a good picture to post, z, with all these "Camaro's for trailer trash" douchebags..
June 2, 200619 yr That's their loss. I IROCs, especially the 'verts. I'm an Italian from New York, what can I say?
June 2, 200619 yr ^ Reminds me of an SNL skit...geeze... "Wanna know what IROC-Z stands fa'?" "What?" "Eye-tallian Reetard Out CruZin'..." [Waiting for Z28 to throw me a punch and knock a few teeth out...]
June 2, 200619 yr Author Never been a big fan of the split bumper, but to each his own. Bitchin' Camaro Bitchin' Camaro I ran over my neighbor!
June 2, 200619 yr Was this thread supposed to be black and white? Im partial to early green second gens.... This is cool too :AH-HA_wink:
June 2, 200619 yr A '70 Baldwin Motion 454SS. If the stipes were red rather than gold, it'd be absolutely perfect. for me, if it's a second gen, it has to be a 70-72 SS(any engine), and split-bumper. Now I wouldn't kick a full bumper out of bed, but still.
June 2, 200619 yr Pretty. Pretty. Pretty. look at that face...how could you say no to that face? some fouth generations: This shot gets me evey time. Edited June 2, 200619 yr by Turbojett
June 2, 200619 yr Ready for takeoff. 68... I found something for your daughter to colour: I actually saw one of these in person. Pretty impressive to see them in such good shape, especially considering they only made 8.
June 2, 200619 yr Author With the exception of 1969 I always prefer the Firebird/Trans Am over the Camaro in terms of styling. Even in the mid-1970s the Firebird never got the bulky bumpers or ho-hum styling. 1967 & 1968 the Firebird loooked great but then in 1969 the bulky chrome beak looked kind of awkward. The 1969 Camaro on the other hand is the epitome of perfection!
June 2, 200619 yr Author Thanks Y.D. That's a great idea right there... I'm already getting told that Sofia is very aware of cars & trucks on the road... if she sees somethig that catches her eye it's always "COOL CAAAR!". One time uncle XP gave her one of those 1:64 "tuner car" 1960s Nissan Skylines when she was getting fussy at Autozone and she ripped off the spoiler the second she got it in her hand. The best thing about the '69 Firebird Trans Am are the wide-spaced racing stripes. I've seen a convertibe 69 TA clone but not the real thing. Where were you lucky enough to make that sighting?
June 2, 200619 yr Gotta give credit for the Super Duty Firebirds of the mid-70s. They carried the torch for a few years after everyone else dropped their hi-po engines:
June 2, 200619 yr Author It's a 455SD and it is IMHO the best looking car in the world made in 1974. No contest. Even exotics started looking frumpy.
June 3, 200619 yr Author Let's hear it for the quickest Trans Am, ever: Who stole my Tunned Port 350 and dropped in a Buick 231??? Edited June 3, 200619 yr by Sixty8panther
June 8, 200619 yr Author Since my Camaro will be departig from my life soon I think I will post a few of its finer moments from the past 4 years here... it's no show winner but it is a muscle car & pony car in the TRUE definition. Here's a chop I did of possible paint jobs I considered for the car last year when I still wanted to keep it.
June 8, 200619 yr lolI know the kid who built/owns that car, its got a tuned port 335 (305 stroker), runs mid 13's, the car is incredible to see in person. The place that did the bodywork and paint on that car also did some of the wiring on my Firebird.... Heres his cardomain if you're interested in more pics and info http://www.cardomain.com/ride/262003 now, my favorite firebird pics... have to be the ones of my car when it was just finished up and put on the road..... it actually looked decent at this point!
June 8, 200619 yr Some new favorites: http://www.cardomain.com/ride/734286/10 *Not completely work safe
