Maybe I'm stuck in chat forever...? :(

That is strange...

Could that be why I can't get in, I wonder?

No, aol came with my new cpu......

Ever since I uninstalled Aol, for some reason it won't let me into chat...

I just get a red x.

I figured that last incident would get you banned.

???

I meant the banning part as a joke, Bim. At least I'm pretty sure, anyways...

Something is up somewhere-I was able to get into chat w/ my new computer- until I uninstalled aol....

I still can't figure out why. :(

Anybody have any ideas?

In chat??? :blink::lol:

I didn't think I was that bad in chat... :)

Maybe you need to reinstall Java? Delete/uninstall it and then try to redownload it.

http://java.sun.com/products/archive/

Look under:

Java 2 Platform Standard Edition (J2SE)

JDK/JRE - 5.0

You'll want the JRE "5.0 update 6"

I'm currently running JRE 1.5.0_06 and chat works fine...

I recommend performing the offline installation. It will take longer, but usually works without complications. If you still have a problem, try it in IE. You may need to activate Sun Java under Internet Options:

Tools> Internet Options> Advanced tab> Scroll down to 'Java Sun' heading> Check the box for "1.5.0_06"> click 'OK'> then restart your computer
