June 10, 200619 yr There's a few I'd change but for the most part it's a decent list. I can't beleive Amercain Graffity is not on there though?! http://movies.msn.com/movies/dvd/cars?GT1=8241 What would your list be?
June 10, 200619 yr They missed Christine For me Christine is number one...a beautiful 1958 Plymouth a 68 Charger and a 67-68 Camaro all have roles in this film....classic Mopar at it's finest Edited June 10, 200619 yr by Delta Force79
June 10, 200619 yr I just bought the original 'Gone in 60 Seconds' collector edition DVD. The '74 version is 100x better than the one that came out a few years ago...and the chase scene is 45 minutes of pure glee for an auto enthusiast. There were so many cool cars on the road back then...it almost makes me wish I could go back in time.
June 11, 200619 yr Let's get MSN's list in here: 10. "Dirty Mary, Crazy Larry" (1974) 9. "Duel" (1971) 8. "The Vanishing Point" (1971) 7. "Gone in 60 Seconds" (1974) 6. "The Driver" (1978) 5. "Le Mans" (1971) 4. "Bullitt" (1968) 3. "Smokey and the Bandit" (1977) 2. "Mad Max" (1979) 1. "Two-Lane Blacktop" (1971) I haven't seen #s 7, 5 and 1. The others are good picks, but the posts above point out that the list should be longer than 10. Christine comes to mind immediately for me, too. I would put Dirty Mary, Crazy Larry higher on the list.
June 11, 200619 yr If you want cars as characters, "Christine" was absolutely missed from this list. If you want automotive action, "Blues Brothers" should be near (or at) the top. As "generic" automotive movies (somehow automotively related), not in any order in particular: The Betsy Corvette Summer Heart Like a Wheel La Carrera Panamerica Tucker Wheels (TV miniseries) The Wraith (one of the WORST movies ever, but interesting cars)
June 11, 200619 yr My goodness ... I think I've only seen 2 of those ... "Gone In 60 Seconds" and "Smokey & the Bandit".... Hrrmm.... Cort, "Mr MC" / "Mr Road Trip", 32swm/pig valve/pacemaker MC:family.IL.guide.future = http://www.chevyasylum.com/cort/ Models.HO = http://www.chevyasylum.com/cort/trainroom.html "I should've drove all night" ... BonJovi ... 'Misunderstood'
June 11, 200619 yr Author I want to watch many of these movies now. As a matter of fact I watched DUEL last night. Couldn't help but think of Blathazar's COE Ford in a few of those scenes.
