I haven't a clue what these are, what powers them, how economical they are, nor how much they cost. 

But their being frugal and easy to slot into tight spaces is appealing.

Came out of the hardware store this morning and a black Tesla Model Y was parked next to me, w a temporary tag.  The couple with it were befuddled because it wasn't letting them in.  The guy kept waving his hand over the door handle, but it wouldn't pop out...he was muttering that it didn't recognize him yet, while the woman was fiddling w/ her phone.  I just shook my head and laughed...

The old and the new in Sicily ... the Smart car still sells and, compared to an ancient Fiat 500, looks downright upright and spacious.

I couldn't believe what I was seeing.  The truck is actually parked on a steeply banked concrete apron and the Fiat Punto behind it is not even touching it ... but not my much!

September 22

I was turning around at a gas station about 35 miles south of Mt. Etna and saw this.  Needless to say, I was sort of blown away.

One wonders where they'd even buy this type of vehicle over there, and what the engine/trans would be.  I remember I once saw a GM "dustbuster" minivan over there, though up north near Turin, and the powertrain was nothing like the one that would have come with those vehicles in America.

Took a little road trip up to Ashtabula County, home to 19 covered bridges.  Saw 5 of them.   Scenic driving, saw a sharp white w/ orange interior ‘69 Camaro Indy Pace Car replica, with the orange stripes and door graphics.  Saw a sharp bright red C8, and a sharp dark blue C7 Gran Sport.  Also saw a very clean black ‘71 Buick Electra 4dr ht.  Also saw a new Wagoneer in black on the freeway, huge and blocky.

I see Greeks in Greece do that exact same kind of parking!  I think Europeans in general park with such liberties as their roads for the most part are tight.  They gotta maximize all the real estate they have whether its for parking or for letting other cars use the damned road way. 

Weird. My last couple of posts are in the September thread when really it is October.  I guess when posting from my phone I didn't notice the month, just saw 'Spotter' in the thread title...my bad.

Acoustical parking ... I think the person behind the small sedan had left, so this looked even more invasive.

Dumb inscriptions - a few years ago, I posted one of a Smart car that said "Farting Shirt" on it.  Do they even know what the words they select mean?

Another one of those minis powered by unknown means and said to be cheap, as in under 10,000 Euros, driven by a younger person on a budget, it seemed.

The only two covered bridges I've actually been in were in the Laurentians north of Montreal and in Stone Mountain Park outside of Atlanta.

The one in the Laurentians was way off the beaten path and painted that faded country red that some people paint their houses.

Of the smaller cars over there, I sort of like this Opel Corsa coupe.  I like the unique coupe and window roofline.

This car was over here for a while badged as a Saturn, making it an "American" product ... the Saturn Astra, I believe.  Saturns turned out to be better than I would have thought.

This car was 

Between Sat and Sun I saw 11 or 12…Ashtabula County has 19, over 100 across Ohio.  I did see a red one and a short one (18 ft span). 

The woodwork inside this bridge reminded me of a leaf spring upside down. 

 

I think @A Horse With No Namewould appreciate the craftsmanship of these bridges.

Makes me wonder if this sort of taxi ride is cheaper ... probably not.
