Gas mileage you get

Featured Replies

Cavalier Z24 5 speed 2.4 twin Cam - only average 28MPG a week city and Hwy combined. Most I've ever gotten is 33 all Hwy. The 97 GA 3100 I picked up a few weeks ago seems to be a pig, only gets about 22-23 city hwy combined. The 05 Malibu I rented to drive to Florida last winter was a champion on the Hwy, it got 34 MPG with 4 people and a full trunk and we were cruising at 80MPH the whole time.

Well... thus far, I've gone 200 miles on this tank and it's right at half a tank... Doing pretty damn good now if I drive with a light-as-a-feather foot... :P

Filled 'er up this afternoon after a 75-80 mph blast to Assateague yesterday. 20.7 mpg.
I certainly don't feel bad about my truck's mileage when Consumer Guide's longterm Tacoma averaged 16.8 mpg. A Silverado could match that.

Can't believe it....my Service Engine Soon light has been ornery. Both yesterday and today, I took short road trips. Today, I went to Tahoe and thunderstorms developed later in the pm.

Yesterday: 27.7 mpg

Today: 26.6 mpg

I am amazed. With a Chevy 3.4 or 3.5 V6, I'd be passing 30 mpg.
