The opposite is true- there were a far greater number of makes back when they started thru the '20s than now- the comparison is not even close.

Because sometimes 'newer' IS 'crappier' and sometimes history & tradition are worth preserving.

The main thing that surprised me was the newspaper website was called 'The Whig'. Wasn't that a political party from the 19th century? That's really old school....

Very sad to hear, hopefully this doesnt foreshadow Buick's future.

I wouldn't read much into it. There's more to the story than you see in print I'm sure. The grandson is the general manager AND they claim the operation was profitable so why not sell to the grandson? Something doesn't add up.
