The one posted is on Ebay currently it is at $8201, reserve is set at $10750. Wow. How great would one of those be as a summer cruiser?

Have any of you inspected one of these up close? A travesty in auto manufacturing. I would not entrust my hide to one in traffic.

It has a quasi-military look to it. It would be fun for summer thats for sure. It sort of reminds me of the Jeepster in essence.

Quasi-military because it was derived from the WWII-era Kuebelwagen...

...Germany's Jeep. An offshoot was the amphibious Schwimmwagen, also of WWII vintage...


Now, those pictured above are desireable for their historical significance or the fact that its amphibious. However, I like Balthy wouldn't trust a Thing with my worst enemy.

I love just about any aircooled VW, and the Thing is a fun little vehicle.

I really have no feelings about the car one way or the other, however I must compliment HarleyEarl on the beautiful use of the phrase "What the Sam Hill?" >>> totally digging that phrase, as a matter of fact, I'm going to make a point to use that phrase all day! Thanks!! :)

Now this car is facinating, by day a hot exotic, by night a bedroom on wheels. The raised section is the room for the bed part. Outrageous.

Watermark? That's HOT!!! There's an orange "thing" in my town here in MAss. I think they're pretty ugly but still muchn better lookign than the Ridgeline, Elemant and Scion xA.

Don't often see this view of this unusual car.

Perhaps even a Stout Scarab.

The front was even cooler on those oddities. Kind of like a Tatra Minivan.
