June 19, 200619 yr As I said... the Laurel Festival car show was today. I went to it. Not alone, but with a cousin... *sigh* Anyways, I kept it mostly GM. If my camera could fit more pics and if I really felt like posting an insane amount of pics on C&G... I would have. So... only the ones that caught my attention were etched into my Camera's memory stick. Some, I gathered with others for pictures. Here they are...

June 19, 200619 yr BV, I _KNOW_ that 1980 Monte Carlo!!!! He is a member of the NMCOA ... and brings that one just about every year! He, along with his wife, have become great friends over the many years that we've seen each other at each MC National gathering!!! He he he ... it IS a small world . And, of course, great pics and cars ... hope you had a good time!!! June 19, 200619 yr Wow, there were some effing nice cars out there... Looks good. I wasn't able to go to the first local big car meet/cruise Saturday (the 17th) because it was my grad party. Whatever. There are more to come.

June 19, 200619 yr Author nice, curious what the 3rd one is. Studebaker Golden Hawk. How come you didnt post photos of that guy you were following around.... :AH-HA_wink: :AH-HA_wink: Uh... I have no idea what you are talking about...
June 25, 200619 yr My personal top 3 favorite: At first I thought: "Do I love this one or hate it?" But even though it's a half assed, redneck vicky/hearse/paddy waggon wannabe... you gotta love a rat rod this cool. no paint, no glass, but it has a mopar 383 w/ ram induction, pro-steet stance with a cow catcher grille and a scary 'stored in a swamp' patina like Balthazar's pre-war Ford COE. You ever see that guy again you tell him I'll trade him a '97 Q45 & a '84 Datsun for that rat rod! Both that two-tone Hudson & '36 Pontiac (?) are absolutely mouth watering. Those are two cars that wear 4" whitewalls perfectly. Besides the 1963 Split Window coupe my absolute favorite Corvette of all time is a 1968-69 coupe. I know that the 1968 (which this is) had a lot of quality control probelms & the fiberglass cracked in certain places but they're still awsome! Edited June 25, 200619 yr by Sixty8panther
June 27, 200619 yr Hey BV, I saw that '80 MC this weekend at the MC Nationals! They had some issues tho .... with an alternator going out en route ... and then heater core hoses at the show....
June 27, 200619 yr Cort: How's about the '77 Cutlass... are we still on for our roadtrip? I was just looking over my schedule and the possibility is there that I could go out there this weekend to drop off the Cutty at your house, if you still want it. I'll talk to XP tomorrow & try to figure out the possible scheduling.
June 28, 200619 yr Hmmm...yes, still want it. This weekend, however, may not be the best. Some of my IL friends are working a car show in east-central IL ... and have invited me down there for the weekend. OR...I may be *ahem* elsewhere. But ... see what XP says and we'll see, OK?
