Verdict on Challenger to be Decided by Fall

The Chrysler group may decide whether to make the Challenger muscle car as early as the end of the third quarter, CEO Tom LaSorda says.

LaSorda on Friday said Chrysler has been flooded with positive responses to the Challenger concept, shown at the Detroit auto show in January.

If Dodge has any sense, they'll build it. Unless of course, they want the new Camaro to go unchallenged (no pun intended).

Just read an article in this mornings paper(7-26) on my Amtrak ride to work and the article stated it was a "go".

Well, even though I am not a retro fan, if it's good for Chrysler, then I am happy.

I think the car they built it just a little too retro. This sketch looked at least a bit progressive.

Hopefully they'll tweak before production but it is smart because it shares so much from the parts bin already.

i didn't read the full stories, but are they planning to put a V-6 in that car?

It was a "go" much like the Camaro before they were even debuted.

They have both been months or years in the making.

the question now is if they choose to do mass production or limited production. I hope the go for mass so that I might be able to afford one. another $35k sportscar does me no good.
