June 21, 200619 yr Hmm..... Im thinking of fixxing my POS truck up since i like it. And I want to get a new car. Limit around 35K Sedan With power GM only! AND NEW! any thoughts? considered GP GXP Impala SS G6 GTP maybe CTS but i want the V and i dont want to waste money. Malibu MAXX SS (So me and Harry can hang out) thought about Lucerne. and BV only coupe's i will consider is a roadster like Vette, Sky, XLR
June 21, 200619 yr Just get a crew cab Silverado or a CTS or GTO, don't go for FWD. Out of the cars on your list I'd only consider an Impala SS & only if I could get a spoiler & emblem delete and with steelies with chrome center caps and a Anteana collection on the trunklid.
June 21, 200619 yr At least test drive a CTS with the V6, the 3.6 has been a great engine in a great car. I've had no problems other than a flakey sunroof dial fixed under warrenty. The 3.6 will get you in trouble with the law if you let it.
June 21, 200619 yr As I said, you don't care about back seat room, so why the hell bother with those? You are so f@#ked up it's not even funny... The only suggestion I will ever give you is a GTO. Compared to the others... it blows them away... especially the GP GXP. Jeesh... and people called me picky?! Edited June 21, 200619 yr by blackviper8891
June 21, 200619 yr Only GM vehicles I'd consider under 35k: GTO Aura XR Sky Solstice Cobalt SS SC Coupe Bolded are the only ones that apply to you.
June 22, 200619 yr Author maybe im getting older...i dont know... but a GTO just well isnt what i want right now. It will raise my insurance to much and is High profile which i dont want........ And Will get me to many tickets. Plus Speed really isnt as fun as it was before.

June 22, 200619 yr Author I like the V's looks better. Better stance or somthing. The Badging better I really dont know. Im Lost and flip~floping.
June 22, 200619 yr I like the V's looks better. Better stance or somthing. The Badging better I really dont know. Im Lost and flip~floping. buy the CTS and then get aftermarket mesh grill and big wheels. The V wheels aren't compatible because they're 6bolt rather then 5.
June 22, 200619 yr How about the GP? They are leasing those things like crazy around here...like 149 a month, I think. Cheap, affordable power. Then add a mod or 2. :AH-HA_wink: Beat the **** out of it, then give it back to them in a few years.. Besides, how much damage can one do to a car in a few years?
June 22, 200619 yr Ah, go for the GP GX/P. (By the way, capriceman, what truck did you end up buying?)
June 22, 200619 yr Author found a 92ish chevy Silverado with a 350 for like $700. Blows oil, needs a new head gasket and leaky exhuast maninfold but hey it get to point A-B.

June 23, 200619 yr Author title says 92. But it doesnt look 92. I ll post a pic maybe if i figure out how to use my camera with out someone pointing out what to do.
June 23, 200619 yr Well if it has the original driver's door on it and if the letters are still visible, the build date is on a tag there with some other information, like the VIN.
