September 8, 200520 yr Quite possibly the hottest of all time: The European Escort RS Turbo (how I wish they built this in America): Couldn't send the starting post without the Escort Cosworth.
September 8, 200520 yr I love hatchbacks almost as much as coupes, but the only one I like that you posted is the VW. The Cleo? Ugh...
September 8, 200520 yr Sorry, they all look like crap. I did always think the Corsica hatch looked pretty nice for what it was.
September 8, 200520 yr I LOVE the Clio. But with the engine in the rear could you REALLY call it a hatch?
September 8, 200520 yr Does my car count as a hatchback? :P [post="11442"][/post] Yes, and for that matter, so does this:
September 9, 200520 yr Author I LOVE the Clio. But with the engine in the rear could you REALLY call it a hatch? [post="11467"]<{POST_SNAPBACK}>[/post] What it's based on was a hatch, so it's still a hatch to me.
September 9, 200520 yr What makes a hatchback is THE HATCH ON THE BACK. duh.... [post="11568"]<{POST_SNAPBACK}>[/post] But DUH if there is an engine back there it makes the hatch almost completely useless. That is DUH why I was asking, a moot point but still nothing to get sarcastic over.
September 10, 200520 yr My hot hatch of choice, the Opel Astra GTC! Edited September 10, 200520 yr by S.Myers
September 10, 200520 yr Author But DUH if there is an engine back there it makes the hatch almost completely useless.[post="11740"]<{POST_SNAPBACK}>[/post] How are you supposed to get to the engine to work on it then, the interior?
September 10, 200520 yr How are you supposed to get to the engine to work on it then, the interior? [post="12128"]<{POST_SNAPBACK}>[/post] Same way you get to it in a 911, from under the car or by dropping the cradle. I belive there is also a cover that can be moved to access the top half of the motor.
September 10, 200520 yr Everytime I think of hot cars I think Corsica, so for hot hatchback, I choose corsica hatchback! Edited September 10, 200520 yr by Cremazie

September 10, 200520 yr My hot hatch of choice, the Opel Astra GTC! [post="12127"][/post] I have to agree, that is the hottest hatch. I hate hatches, but I would love to own that car.
September 10, 200520 yr I could look at that astra all day long. I also love the Focus and GTI up there. But the Clio? Well, it's not my favorite but I can see the cool in it. I think people who have a real appreciation for small cars are more likely to like hatchbacks.
September 11, 200520 yr Author I could have clapped to that a little if you said Gremlin, but to say "Pacer," you're obviously just in a hating mood, as the 205 looks noways like a Pacer.
September 11, 200520 yr Goddamnit... I just had typed out a post with some pics.. and then my PC f**ked up. Anyways, the only hot hatchbacks shown in this thread are the GTI, Focus, Astra, and the Mini. The majority of them are blah, not hot. So... here's some ones that are hot. Audi A3 Peugeot 206 RC Ford Fiesta ST Honda CRX And my all time favorite 5-door hatch... the Mazda 323F
September 11, 200520 yr Author C'mon, this was hot for its day... [post="12519"][/post] Nice Cutlass Salon pictures, but that car was actually a sedan...
September 12, 200520 yr Hot & Sexy> Alfa Romeo 147 (before facelift) Renault Megane RS 225 Edited September 12, 200520 yr by gt1750
September 12, 200520 yr My hot hatch of choice, the Opel Astra GTC! [post="12127"][/post] This has got to be one of the hotest small cars of our time. It's to bad they don't bring it here in full form.
September 12, 200520 yr Author It's like someone took a New Beetle and gave it a normal front clip and extended the rear of the roof by a foot.....one can see what they were trying to do, but it still leaves me and most Americans cold. That being said, one can bet it performs.
