September 4, 20232 yr Kicking off the month, went to Birch Bay for the holiday weekend. Saw some amazing autos including my first VW ID van. They are so cool ?. Saw a wide variety of restored mustangs, to old model T ford's. Saw this old.van, think it is a Chevrolet but not 100% sure.
September 4, 20232 yr Went out to Oberlin, Ohio to tour a neat Frank Lloyd Wright Usonian house, parked in the driveway was this neat Citroen 2CV Dolly...80s vintage I think.

Is Birch Bay around Bellingham, near the Canadian border, and often murky? - - - - - I liked this stretch of Firebird years and it's rare to see a Trans Am convertible, especially in an accessible parking space. Not a judgment ... just saying. Nice car, but the pewter color or whatever it is isn't that flattering. Edited September 5, 20232 yr by trinacriabob
September 5, 20232 yr As I was emerging from the car wash, I spotted this beautiful Custom Bruiser whale waiting in line at the gas station in front of me.

Yep, there was a Subway I'd always stop at, either on my own or with friends, while getting in line for the Peace Arch or Pacific truck crossing. Those were the days. 15 hours ago, Drew Dowdell said: As I was emerging from the car wash, I spotted this beautiful Custom Bruiser whale waiting in line at the gas station in front of me. In a weird way, it had nice lines. Definitely a good vehicle.
September 9, 20232 yr Saw this Crosley Hotshot that belonged to Frank Lloyd Wright at the Hagen Museum in Erie, PA today. So tiny it makes a Miata look Corvette sized.
September 10, 20232 yr Couldn't take a photo. It was ugly, anyway. It was the "entry level" Tesla with a license plate saying: OUTA GAS He or she could also be: OUTA AMP
September 21, 20232 yr Happy first day of autumn, folks ... summer flew by. I saw this once before and I saw it again yesterday A thing of beauty that may have been taken for granted when they were a dime a dozen.
September 21, 20232 yr Yesterday, I also saw many "cars" ... at the same time ... and thought of @balthazar
September 21, 20232 yr I saw these earlier in the month I'm starting to get used to, and like, the proportions of the current Corvette to accommodate the mid-engine design. Bonus photo - I don't remember what kind of vehicle this was, but I think the ragged flag might have been on the rag
September 21, 20232 yr An excellent sighting and test ride (not drive), too: Angled view from the vantage point of the Olds Toronado (what a contrast between the crisper lines of yesteryear's GM and the simpler more jellybean lines of more recent GM) Front view of the 2 vehicles ('08 LaCrosse and '81 Toronado) Angled view from the vantage point of the Buick LaCrosse Hood ornaments, "Parthenon" like grilles, and rectangular lamps ... oh yeah Driver's side of the dashboard; yes, it has a temperature gauge Passenger side of the dashboard; the digital clock was keeping time Comfortable vehicle seating no longer known to the American market; this made me miss my '84 Supreme Brougham coupe (although it was blue inside) ... note the Toronado crest above the armrest in the rear seats ... the rear pillar may be thick, but the upright windows made for good visibility Imposing, clean and angular defined hoods with hood ornaments - a great period in GM's history in my mind - - - - - A great way and time to have spent last Sunday's afternoon
September 24, 20232 yr ^ is that Drew's Toronado? Sharp car. Had a 250 mile round trip down to Zanesville, Ohio yesterday, did see a very clean early 80s Caprice--white 4dr w/ dark blue interior--on I-77.
September 29, 20232 yr Saw a really clean gold '72-73 Lincoln Continental 2dr in a driveway yesterday afternoon..
October 31, 20232 yr Needed to slot this one in ... taken in Virginia Beach VA on 9/10 This is a 1997 Olds Aurora. It was painted taxi cab yellow. I didn't ask why. The driver did delivery for a restaurant. I'll say that the first-gen Aurora nailed the dashboard and interior (love those subtle curves, which they rarely do as well anymore) while the second-gen (and last-gen) did a better job with the car's exterior styling. My two cents.
