Futurama will be back (with Billy West, John Dimaggio and Katey Segal) on Cartoon Network in 2008. While the Simpsons have really lost their bite, Futurama was just hitting its stride when FOX assured that it would fail by pre-empting with crappy football, changing dates and times to a point where fans had no idea if it was going to be on or not.

All right! It's Saturday night, I have no date, a two liter bottle of Shasta and my all-Rush mix tape, let's rock!

What fevered dream is this that bids to tear this company in twain?

That is great! I love that show!

Hopefully, old Groening will ditch the Simpsons. I mean, I love the show, but it's really lost it's novelty.

There's also a few Direct-to-DVD movies coming out soon, too, right?

I hate to, but I agree. When I watch the newer episodes, I feel like I'm doing an old friend a favor - I don't want to watch his stupid fastball tournament, but he did help me move last month. From inception to mid-life, however, Simpsons cannot be topped. Homer running the union, Mr. Sparkle, "Premium, dude, premium!!", "I choo-choo-choose you!", Willie = Iraqi fighter jet, "This isn't Moe's Tavern its...Bo's...Cavern," Sideshow Bob and the rakes, "No, I said steamed hams" "Turn out your pockets, man. *gasp* ATOMS!" and a million and one other classic lines and gags that will never be matched, replicated, or surpassed. I'd rather see my favorite show be put out to pasture while it still has its self-respect.

I checked BillyWest.com and I did not see any news about the status of the direct to DVD Futurama movies, but he did say that they start recording in July for the new stuff.

I wonder how the Simpons movie will wrap things up.

Anyway, I have no idea why they cancelled Futurama in the first place. That was as bad as cancelling Family Guy.
