All right went cruising around last night. I was in the Impala, friend of mine was in his newely restored '72 SS454 Chevelle, and we were running around town when two kids in a 93 Acura Integra with fart can pulled up next to me. I looked over at them, smirked and cracked the sunroof. The revved the engine and my buddy likewise revved his.....the kids immediately revved and as the light changed to green, they squalled the tires, my buddy lit the tires on his Chevelle up, and I lit the fronts up on my Impala. Of course Jimmy's Chevelle had my ass stomped, along with the Integra. The guys in the Integra then decided that it was me and him. So at the next light Jimmy held back and we went at it. 2001 ALL stock Impala vs 93 Integra with header, better cam, stand-alone fuel system, 2.5-in exhaust, and a fart can....I won, no contest....end of story.

Go give your pushrod powered car a hug if you haven't already.

Did they say anything afterwards?

Or did they drive off to tell their friends that they kicked a "sucky Impala's ass" and "totally pwned a Chevelle with a 454"

You know they lied, or didn't mention it atall.

I smoked a 06 V6 Mustang with K&N full out intake system Wider Exhaust and perfomance igniton system. By a Half Cars length twice. I love my Caprice. He had my off the line then i Catch up on him and passed him.

Rice burners hate me.Too many times do I at a light Rev my engine and they rev theres till it hits the Rev limitler (which i hate). Then I accelerate with 1/2 thorttle so they can stay with me then when i hear them shift i floor it and pull away from them. Then they say damn What do you got in there and I tell them I have some sluged up 6 cylinder and i never look under the hood. Also say I just hope it starts every day.

I got my ass kicked in the Infiniti the other day when

a late 90s (water cooled) 911 came up on me

weaving through traffic & snaked around me and into

the fast lane... I floored it to see if I could keep up

with him for a sec. but it was NOT happening. The

second he got next to me I heard a downshift and he

was go---------ne in a blur of tail lights. I just put the

cruise on to 79 again and told myself I'd blow his

911s doors off at the track someday when I shoehorn

a LS2/6-speed into the Q45.

That's IF I can't afford a twin turbo LS7. :P:rolleyes:

I sure hope I run into you on the street one day.. :P

sweet, is your impala a 3.4 or 3.8 (or ss 3.8 s/c?)

Chevy didn't start supercharging Impalas until 2004.

I'd still guess it's a 3800. The car is awfully big and heavy for the 180-hp 3400 to help it beat out a.. *ahem* "tuned" Integra.

This one kid pulled up next to me in a Civic while I was cruising down US-113 south of Ocean City last weekend. He starts to rev his engine up at me in my Sonoma at a stoplight. I got the Sonoma up to about 2800 rpm and he stopped revving. Light turned green and we went at it. The Sonoma won, hands down, even with it loaded down with a cooler, couple of bricks, a heavy cooler, an overweight beagle, and a suitcase. The look on his face as I pulled away from him was priceless. OHV engines rock.

Some dude pulled up to me in a 98ish Mustang GT. So, he floors it at the same time as me (I wasn't gonna race him, but he coincidentally floored at the same time). We only went at it for like 2-3 seconds (because of traffic) and my door was already at his front bumper. Pretty sad.

The Impala is a 2001 LS 9C1 car with the 3.8L Buick-based 231cid V6....I drove a few 3400 powered Impys, but they were a bit too sluggish for my tastes.

76Trucker:

You know what you need?

Stuff in a 572 RamJet into that unibody beeotch. :D:wacko:

72 Chevelle SS454....drool

Oh excuse me for a moment.

I love watching those rice burners who think a stock civic can run 13s have their eyes opened to real muscle.

I also love it when they tell me, "well I can always supercharge this thing and then easily beat your Camaro."

My answer? "Ummm, I can put a supercharger in here too."

I think the kid would have $h! a house if I would have been driving my truck.....the exhaust note alone would have rattled his car apart.
