on a serious note though its nice to see our guys and girls have a more fighting chance because of this, rather than soldering tin cans and what ever scrap metals they could find laying around.

Thanks for the great read. I rated it a 5 at the bottom of the article. Supposedly by rating yahoo and other articles in this manner, more people read the story.

Earlier this year "The Car Connection" ran an article on the question of "soft skinned Humvees". It was their contention that Rumsfgeld was correct in not supplying armour because humvees wern't mad for that kind of abuse. Silly contention and piss poor consideration of our soliders. All Humvees were armoured in the Kosovo conflict and not one American lost their life. General Clark made sure of it.
