Saturday was the best day (weather wise) to go to Carlisle to the show. Here's some of what was there.

1967 Bonneville. Pillarless.

I saw a GNX yesterday with the same turbo cover, but it didn't have the arrow.. instead it was "GNX" in the same spot and style.

This Camaro was here too. Took over a dozen pics and shot a video of it (I decided to post the best 10 I shot).

An Oakland. Never even knew they existed (or that they were under the GM banner), so if anyone has some info on it I would appreciate it.

Matt, I think Oakland later became Pontiac.

These pictures are great. Thanks for posting!

Wouldn't this be nice right about now?

Actually I'm dreading the days of 3.79 a gallon. :P

...Oh, 0.379 a gallon? If only transportation could be that inexpensive.

A few more Cadillac pics. The real disappointment to me was the lack of Caddys there. I was hoping for mid 60's - mid 70's Caddys but there weren't any there. Same with the Impalas. Plenty of 62-64 Impalas, but I didn't see any Impalas from the late 60's to the mid 70's.

And to cap it off, a Z06 Corvette. While I was taking pics, there was a Q&A going on in the white building where the car was sitting next to..... once again all alone.

Hey Matt, thanks for posting all of these pics! I wanted to see that show so badly but had to miss it. Although if I had gone they'd still be trying to pry me off of the 454SS El Camino.

If you have any more pics of it please post them.

*sigh*

That's one of those "Chevelles" made from a new GTO. You haven't seen those, Nos?

I don't think I saw a completed one.. only a work in progress.

That's what I thought it was, just wasn't sure.

Nice pics. How many cars are at this show? I usually go to spring Carlisle but I have never been to the all GM show. The grounds look kind of empty, is it worth driving 500 miles for it?

To be honest, I wouldn't know the exact # of cars that are at this show.... obviously this year was less because of the rain. I think if not for the rain, there would have been at least 75-150 more cars there (maybe even more) filling up the ground. Last year when I went to the all Ford show there, the entire ground was filled up (mostly because it was a hot sunny day).

When I was there Saturday, there weren't any C1 Vettes, very few Cadillacs, very few Buicks, and few of a certain model (like early 70's Impalas).

I've gone when the weather was good and the place was packed. Cars all the way up the hill. The rain really ruined things this year it looks like.

A Monte that looked good....

...

An Aero Monte SS that looked bad a**.........

*raises eyebrow*

COOL!

Did you, by chance, catch the names of the owners of these cars?

Cort, "Mr MC" / "Mr Road Trip", 32swm/pig valve/pacemaker

MC:family.IL.guide.future = http://www.chevyasylum.com/cort/

Models.HO = http://www.chevyasylum.com/cort/trainroom.html

"Why can't that be me?" ... 3 Doors Down ... 'If I Could Be Like That'

Hahaha... Matt, we where there at the same time and you & I took many of the same pictures! I find that very funny.

The yellow Z06 belongs to the Fbodfather - Scott Settlemire!!! I was in that white building when you took the pics of the Z06 - and Scott was the one doing the Q&A session along with David North (retired GM engineer & consultant). After the session ended around 3:15, Scott got in the Z06 and drove over to the Tom Henry Chevy (dealership) tent.

Yes, there are ususally many, many cars & trucks on display at the All-GM show. The rain kept MANY away and there were lots of open spaces in many of the catergory fields. Still, I missed last year (was sick) and figured I didn't want to make it two years in a row. I'm now trying to decide if I want to go back there for the All-Truck Nationals (Aug 4-6) on Saturday or to another car show in Macungie, PA that has a large toy show attached to it. I may go to the truck show on Friday, although I've done that in the past and there wasn't as much on display as there is on Saturday.
