Ok, boys...now don't screw this one up...nice and easy... 1) Don't change a thing.....NOT A THING. 2) Get it to market NOW....don't show it everywhere and then drag the intro out like you did with the Lucerne. 3) Get enough of them built so that on intro, every dealer has one....at least one. Follow 1, 2, and 3....THEN pat yourselves on the back. This thing is a winner.

One of the points Jerry York made today was the need to sell off Saab and Hummer. Not as easy as it sounds, Jer. GM would never sell off Hummer as it was a brand they created (not AM General) as their upscale SUV brand. As far as Saab is concerned, anyone interested in purchasing it is going to want to steal it because they'll smell GM's blood in the water.

After reading that press release, I'll be curious what the sheep in the enthusiast press will come up with as a Toyota invention..."Speedometer in 5 mph increments"??? Better just shut the plants now boys...let's not even bother bending the steel, lol...

Unfortunately, GM's servitude to it's investors does absolutely nothing to help the problem of selling cars now..not when "all this great stuff" finally hits the dealer's lots. "Opening your tent" to the press, investors, and analysts so that they can see what's on the way does nothing but stagnate the units sitting on the ground. For example...cars like the Solstice and Lucerne should have been out 8 to 10 months ago instead of hitting the press circuit for what seemed like forever.

Too bad all the Wall Street types stuck their noses up in the air on the way to the M-B, BMW and Lexus dealers...and now these jerkoffs suddenly know what would fix GM? They are only concerned with what would help their portfolio.

Our first Solstice arrived Friday...the client backed out (family matter)...anyway - It's a Deep Blue w/Steel/Sand leather....$24,305 list...I've called everyone I know - now I'm going farther out.
