  1. Sorry, I didn't know what "SORP" stood for. I thought that the original estimation was that G8's would be arriving in North America for spring 2008?
  2. When does the regular V8 G8 come out in US/Canada?
  3. GM's websites are useless for the most part. Why not offer a full array of pictures to show all the model configurations?? Hummer is the exception as it adds the accessories to the picture as you add them. Check out GM Canada's site, horrible.
  4. Unless it's in a 3/4 ton truck, diesels won't sell in North America. Just think of the last time you heard a TDI VW drive by. I remember my comment to the person next to me in a sarcastic manner, "boy, does that sound smoooth " Diesels won't sell here.
  5. Yes, you're correct. An issue we had with a supplier going out of business caused a shortage on a certain airbag part. As a result, we had to shut down the plant becuase we run a gm lean manufacturing facility (just in time). We will be starting up again on May 7, 2007.
  6. I'm hoping to go to the CIAS in Toronto this upcoming week and really want to see the new G8. Does anyone know if it will be there? The Offical CIAS Website is terrible and doesn't reveal anything about the specific cars that will be there.
  7. Yup, there's my bonnie. Although I love my GXP, the G8 is going to be a huge improvement. I'm just itching to sell the Bonneville and get a G8 GT.
  8. Because people still buy them and like them. You may not like it, but other people, (like myself), do. Don't apply your own preferences to everyone's.
  9. I'm going to miss the Grand Prix GXP. That car is a HOOT to drive. So much faster than my Bonnie GXP.
  10. In real life the Pontiac looks better than the Chevy variant. Both are very nice vehicles though and I would not call the interior cheap at all. For this class of vehicle it holds its own very well against the competition and now with the new drivetrain, the thetas are a nice bunch of little SUV's. ...just more choice for the people now to go fast.
  11. You guys are too narrow minded. That is one exotic truck right there. I would personally do away with the GT40 paint scheme which makes no sense on a GM HUMMER. But anyway, it's SWEET.
  12. I love that black one with the wide five-spoke 20's. Man those trucks are beautiful. Don't know about getting a Silverado or an Avalanche now.
  13. I find it ironic how the Japanese like the Solstice better and we here in North America (well, the magazines anyway) like the miata better. A quote from the video, "the Solstice is cheaper faster and easier to drive"....there ya go. We should get the Japanese to do our magazines and tv shows from now on. I would love to have a Solstice.
  14. Ya, the tires alone (285 bridgestone duelers) will create a huge amount of difference. But, it's perception too. If someone sees that it has an I-5, they'll think about efficiency, regardless of the rating. If you see "V8" people think it's a gas guzzler. Again, an issue of perception.
  15. Here are the pics... the wheels look GOOD!!
